Yes. I would stay far far away from that vendor. Request for iTunes cards is common practice on all sorts of scams.

I can understand where you are coming from. I to am new and found this forum after being scammed. After doing some reading I chose a vendor and it couldn't have gone smoother.  Best of luck and I hope everything works out.
