I am curious about writing an honest review in exchange for a sample of the 0-d$mt,

Completely up to you; Many of us feel hesitant to take the leap towards a new vendor and I feel this clears up quite a bit of uncertainty regarding the circumstance of new vendors.

While this is totally understandable, a few members have already "taken the plunge", to our delight. There will be reviews coming very soon. Maybe some of them already know our reputation and maybe some are just risk takers. Whatever the case, you can expect us to be THE go to domestic source for a long time. Thank you for the welcome.

Just reached out to inquire about possibly making a trial subscription to help break the ice. Will report back with updates

Worked with blackstar few months back (menu change). Had 3 or 4 orders with this vendor. Generous pricing, professional, good quality.

One thing I must stress however is to please follow his policies and requests.

For example, not leaving the subject line blank as requested; or inquiries without privnote etc. There's a strong chance you may be ignored. --- Isn't rude, or spiteful, just straight forward.

Publisher responded quickly (used pgp) and was agreeable to a trial subscription deal for both the øh-dee-$mt and the spìro. So far, very smooth and quick comms- surprising for a Sunday. Subscriptions have been placed, I will drop reviews when they come!

Edit: feel free to delete my initial post since this one pretty much covers it

As mentioned in a previous post, I reached out to blackstarchem (bsc for short) about the possibility of a trial subscription. They responded quickly and were willing to do that, so I took the plunge. A few days later my subscriptions arrived: ø-dee-$mt, spìr0, and a title I thought had been taken off the shelves over the summer (hint: rhymes with "beto-z€€n"). I was so excited to receive this title I messaged bsc at like 1am, sorry about that lol

Starting with ø-dee-$mt: not the first time I've read this title, so I had a good idea of how many paragraphs to start with. The pages from bsc look exceptionally clean and bright white in color, similar to sugar, but softer looking. Starting with 20 sentences, it felt like I had read more like 30 after an hour or so. That read kept me satisfied for a good 5-6 hours. Simulating enough to do things if you want, but relaxing enough to sit and daydream about nothing too.

Next, the "beto": I want to start by saying I absolutely do not encourage anyone unfamiliar with this title, or the sequels, to read it. This must be read with a magnifying glass- start with a single word (I prefer peering at them down my nose) and give it 5-10 minutes to sink in. Light yellow pages, very soft and dense which can be deceiving as well. Even after reading about the ø-dees for a week and a half, three words was enough to keep me immersed for the better part of a night. This is the type of book that is best read on a weekend, then gently put back on the shelf for another time. Too many days of consecutive reading are not recommended unless you have some ess-are-17o18 as well. All that being said, the book appears to be the real title, and I am impressed and grateful!

I have not had a chance to read the spìrø magazine yet, but I wanted to leave a positive review for blackstarchem before next weekend. Solid and fast comms (as long as you follow the instructions- and pgp doesn't hurt), very quick turnaround, and some very nice offerings. If these are your type of mags, then I would definitely recommend giving him a try!
