Hello,

What are RC's, in the form of a powder, labelled as for shipping internationally/through customs?

i have a parcel in the process of shipping out of a foreign country. The original vendor does not ship out of the country, so the parcel is going to a package-forwarding service first.

I have selected all the options for my package to *not* be re-packaged and instead be shipped as-is so they will not open it but instead just remove and replace the label.

Only issue is the package forwarding service wants a description of the item. Well, I could put anything, but what if they x-ray scan it? I dont know what the original shipping label says. RC is a powder inside a baggy, inside another sealed baggy, inside another sealed foil/bubble wrap sleeve, and then inside a white bubble envelope for shipping.

If it says the name of the "RC" on it, it would say SR-14968. I can provide that for what is inside also, but what to put as a description?

The parcel-forwarding company will receive my package of RC's tomorrow morning, so I need to have this filled out for them before that time to speed up the dropshipping process and avoid them opening/repackaging the parcel.

I've heard some say to label it as soap making fragrance, or some kind of cleaner, but I just dont know and I am losing hair stressing over this lol

Well I was running out of time. For the package of the contents I put "Sample analytical reference material - non-hazardous".

I made sure for the value to make it only 10 euros which is less than 20 Canadian dollars, because anything below $20 CAD is not subject to tariffs/customs fees and I'm hoping that will make them care less about what it is.

Wish me luck.

  5. xenxra @ xenxra: i'm surprised none of the CA-US shops have a notice up about it
  6. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is really annoying\
  7. Alkazar @ Alkazar: Technically they were forced back to work the last time they went on strike in 2024, so this is the same strike for the same reasons in 2025.
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: I dont know how to direct reply to people on here. But the Canada Post strike will affect any mail coming from the US. It will be held at a facility until the striek is over. Mail that is being sent from CAD to the US will just not be picked up. It all has to be private delivery services now.

  13. xenxra @ xenxra: @LW815 from my experience, CP strikes usually tend to leave the snails alone

  15. C @ Callmejonah: methadone
  16. LW815 @ LW815: @Alkazar would that effect snail mail arriving to the US from CA in any impactful way?

  20. xenxra @ xenxra: @cjg201496 high demand, (somewhat) low supply - only inevitable that some cuts would pop up eventually. i dont use it so i cant attest to any particular vendors.
