How to go about asking for a refund?

I placed an order on a vendor’s website and paid using BTC. The vendor emailed me the next day and said that the item had just sold out and was no longer available. They did not offer any alternatives or a refund. I sent them an email asking for a refund with my btc address but have not heard back yet. What is the normal procedure for this?

not really much you can do except wait for a response or cut your loss

And loudly name and shame said vendor because thats bullshit,
like seriously thats why dnms have reputation scores / feedback

I may end up doing that if nothing happens in a few days. How much time should I give? I am a new member and I have zero credibility.
Gather what evidence you can (proof of your order, TXID, proof of funds sent, proof of no response to your inquiries).

I would reach back out to said vendor after 7 days (if they don’t have any specific number of days to wait stated on their menu/instructions). If no response again after another 4-7 days (10-14 total), I think it’s more than fair to publicly call them out

yeah, unfortunately you get took every now and again. do small orders for newer vendors or ones you're kinda leery about. or listen to your gut. lotta people get taken every day, just try not to make it a habit, lol.

sorry that happened.

  11. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Don’t message people about things like veterinary care without taking care to mind the rules you two crazy nuts. More at stake than getting bad info or scammed, there’s predators out there looking for bigger fish and will step on a guppy to get to them. Fishing expeditions aren’t just for private citizens enjoying a calm weekend exploring the lake for a fish hookup. Offish of offishial fishing investigations may be looking for the best fishing hole and scare off the big
