Hey everyone,

We’ve discovered an active scammer impersonating the vendor [Rocky / pharmadaddy] (and possibly others) in an effort to steal your money. Please read and share:

What’s happening

  • Fake emails & DMs: The scammer is contacting buyers using addresses that look almost—but not exactly—like the real vendor’s.
  • “Too‑good‑to‑be‑true” deals: They quote attractive prices, push for quick payment, then disappear.
  • Recent losses: At least one buyer has already been hit for $650.

How to protect yourself

  1. VERIFY ADDRESSES:
    • Check every character of the sender’s email. Small changes (extra letters, wrong domain, weird punctuation) = red flag.
  2. REQUEST BTC ADDRESS THROUGH DBG DIRECT MESSAGE ONLY:
    • A legitimate vendor will always confirm their wallet address inside the forum’s secure DM system. No exceptions.
  3. MATCH PROFILES:
    • Compare join date, reputation, and PGP key (if used) with the vendor’s official thread.
  4. TRUST, BUT VERIFY:
    • If anything feels off—prices, tone, urgency—pause and ask publicly in the thread or via a second, known‑good contact method.
  5. REPORT SUSPICIOUS CONTACT:
    • Forward fake emails/DMs to forum mods so they can ban the accounts and warn others.

Stay safe out there. If you’ve been approached by anyone claiming to be me (or another trusted vendor) but refusing to confirm through DBG DM, assume it’s a scam and report it immediately.

Spread the word by bumping this thread or PM’ing your contacts. The more eyes on this, the fewer people get burned.

I was the one hit for $650 and I will say both times they reached out to me to say “Thanks stevie for your review I appreciate
Looking forward on your next order.”

Jess and Rocky are both usually genuinely nice people so I didn’t think twice. The “o” in Rock was a 0 but the whole thing was in caps so harder to tell.

I still can’t find a difference in Jess’ email and the fake. I’m thinking the l in Elba was a capital i. l vs I looks identical. Luckily that time I actually reached out to the email chain I already had with her. I’m dumb for falling for the first. I know.

Let me guess your email is steviejay88@proton... your DBG username and email address should be completely different. Scammers will try anything and this must be one of their wicked ways to find members to scam

I’m confused, did the scammers reach out to Stevie via email, or did Stevie copy and paste the scammers email from a post in DBG?

The scammers are watching vendor's threads, if a member posts a review or anything else on a vendor's thread. They will email that member with a very similar email address as the vendor.

Example,
you said: Hey Buymedonline got the mags, 10/10.

they will then email you with your username and try every possible domain
(gmail, yahoo, proton, protonmail etc).

The scammers will email: Nod-Harvester@proton.me Nod-Harvester@protonmail.com
Nod-Harvester@yahoo.com Nod-Harvester@gmail.com and whatever else they can think off.
In the hope one email address works and proceed with their scam.

They will then email, thank you for your review. I now have a new special or a big sale and discount on this.
Just trying to lure you in.

I know this is hard to wrap your head around but this is how they operate.
It is never a good idea to have your DBG username and email address the same.

  19. Gracie5 @ Gracie5: The password isn’t given automatically, at least by me. I don’t give it to brand new members.
  20. xenxra @ xenxra: dm admin for password. i still don't really understand the purpose of the password section if it's just given out freely to anyone who is a sponsor.
