I paid last Wednesday, sent confirmation of payment, and they said I would get tracking shortly. I asked for update twice, upon asking today this was his automated response.

Dear Customer,

Your package has been successfully registered. However, please be informed that you are required to settle a refundable insurance fee with the delivery company.

This insurance is necessary to ensure your package is fully protected from inspection or seizure by authorities, as research chemicals are now highly regulated in several countries.

Note: The insurance fee is refundable, and the total amount to be paid is $200 USD.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,
ELITE-CHEMS

Never seen such blatant fuckery, I told them to get fucked and it just repeated the above message, in over 10 years with online vendors this is the first time I've been scammed, didn't lose much but still sucks.

With so many vendor's to choose from on this board, why go for one with no reviews here at all.
That insurance fee is the oldest scam in the book.

I tried to post a thread asking if anyone has tried but it wasn't accepted

generally i agree with you on this but every vendor had a first review.
someone's gotta bite the bullet sometimes.
all the vendors on here had no reviews at one point.

i think a better rule that needs to be established with this kind of stuff is to assume any shop that has 50+ chems plastered on the front page with no photos for any of them is probably a telltale. They usually always have these weird wordpress-blog style elements scattered around the page too like SEO for crawlers so they pop up on search engines.

They have some weird products listed which sketched me out and make no sense, AI made descriptions, but since they showed up heavily on search engines and as I wasn't able to post a topic about them I went through with it.

What kind of scam site has DDOS protection too? Idk maybe I've been gone for too long, I stopped doing all the weird and heavy shit to get my life together. Thankfully I had the $130 to spare so hopefully this post will show up when you Google their url

Like wtf is Orange Mandala? After doing some further research those come up with some weird branded RC blends, plausible. They have a Elite-Chems.eu url that goes into more depth on some of these weird names products. I would only assume Elite-chems.eu is also a scam. I probably should have seen when the site came online but that wasn't my top priority at the time

most of the time legit vendors will have some kind of no-crawling solution implemented specifically to avoid showing up on search engines. in my experience, typically the only legitimate vendors that allow this to happen are (assumed) actual laboratories that can produce actual paperwork for their products and not just some trap house that might have a couple GC-MS tests laying around for some stuff. it's better to limit visibility to people that are willing to put in the work to find them than chase that extra buck. just imagine how fast vendors would get heat on them if any joe schmoe could just go on google and search "best rc vendors" or something of that nature to find them. it's the same reason this forum doesn't show up on searches.

Youd be surprised what will come up on DuckDuckGo, Google is shit, brave is shit, but duckduckgo is how I found this forum

I found DBG through a duckduckgo search. several pages deep if I remember. been a couple years .

Before I found this thread, I had elite chems dot com bookmarked, because, yea, I found them on a search engine. After reading this, I went back to the bookmarked link to find the site is down. Good. Thanks everyone for the warning.
