Pubic Interest in Imidazenil

Hey guys, I’m wondering if there is any public interest in Imidazenil? I’m considering requesting a custom synthesis of the compound, but it will likely be a large-ish amount so it’d be helpful if there were others who wanted to chip in.

I had to read up on this chem. It's in the family with the BZO antagonist (similar to naloxone for opioids) flumazenil, and related to partial agonist bretazenil (which has a crazy short half life, like 2.5 hours) and was suggested by David Nutt (BZO research expert) to have potential as a social substance to substitute for alcohol (all the good parts of BZOs and alcohol, none of the bad parts like liver disease, amnesia, brain damage).

I'm getting far from the point. Wikipedia suggests it has effects to stop seizures and anxiety without being sedating or amnesiac, and that it might be a better BZO antagonist than flumazenil.

Imidazenil looks really practical, if I were to describe it frankly. I know that a Chinese vendor who has Flourished a Long time in the scene has bretazenil. Maybe in an email you could suggest they investigate synthing imidazenil in the future. It honestly looks like it might be the kind of thing you could buy at a bar in 30 years, as a social lubricant instead of alcohol.

"Just the imidazenil for me tonight, don't want to be hung over for my important 9am meeting."

This ever go anywhere? Would be happy to chip in.

I am still pursuing this, and I may have a lead. There might be some work required on my end chemistry-wise which would delay things substantially, but I’m still pushing forward.
