Hey, I want to gather some data here on what different batches of pyros look like. If one mags cover looks crystal-like, and another *same mag* has a flour-like texture, what does that suggest? .hcl vs. freebase? Markers in quality? Would a freebase mag be readable through the nose? If folks can comment the different colors, textures, preferred method of reading different batches, that would be sweet. Thank you.

Freebase is a yellow oil, not really something for your nose like that. It's very unlikely for you to have the freebase form unless you made it yourself. When in large chunks it has a somewhat crystal-like appearance that gets more flour like as it's ground down. I've seem it as both pure white and a very slight tan color.
