    Monero

You mean just do Monero to Monero transactions completely?  I'm not sure if Monero would work with a BTC receiver because aren't they using cryptography to shield sending and receiving addresses and transacted amounts?  Unless it's a sort of plug-in.  It also looks like there are Monero...

VPNs are Using Fake Server Locations

Yes I'm college educated in cybersecurity and I've experimented around with some hacking for fun, but I don't have a lot of practical experience unfortunately (hard to get a good job in Cybersecurity :( . It involves years of experience and tons of certifications which cost like $5-$10k each)...

VPNs are Using Fake Server Locations

@Toker I've been looking for a solid VPN for my home set up for a while now.  I've been nervous to buy anything because I feel like they are all scams are just controlled by the NSA.  I read a few articles that rated ExpressVPN, SurfShark, NordVPN, IPVanish, CyberHost, ProtonVPN, etc. the best. ...

    Monero

I agree.  If I had the time I would contribute to the Monero C++ repository :(

    Protonmail Warning

This is general common sense advice for EVERYONE and EVERY email provider (gmail, yahoo, proton, etc).  Even your work email.  Never ever ever click any link in an email.  Phishing scams are most common for Bank emails saying you need to click a link to check your balance or to report fraudulent...

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

@Jesse Yeah I see what you mean, but if I can't get enough money to pay my vendors then what's the point, you know?

Buying Bitcoins safe and cheap from USA

Wow, this is awesome.  You can buy, trade, and store BTC in a wallet.  Also, the limit for purchasing BTC with a Visa/MC is $30,000! Please let us know immediately when this feature is available in the USA (it says that New York is not available at this time :(  )

    Protonmail warning message

Is there anyone fluent in the darkweb?  There are places where email addresses like this are sold so it would be fairly easy to check for compromised vendor addresses.

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

In reply to myself above, maybe someone can do a step-by-step tutorial from purchasing funds through CashApp/Coinbase (obviously no need to repeat the OP, but to pick up from where he left off) to transferring and storing the funds in the wallets?  And then another section how to spend the money...

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

@DoomKitty  Monero has the right idea.  We should be shielding the sending and receiving addresses.  And at the same time, we should be allowed to control who can access a transaction or contract.  If you were to store medical records on the blockchain, you'd need to give over your hash, but at...

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

@DoomKitty I hope I'm not giving out too much personal information (a.k.a. my avatar could be a dead giveaway hah).  I did an entire semester of research with a government grant, but the applications of Blockchain and Bitcoin were just too confusing that not even the Math/Science Department...

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

@DoomKitty I luckily got through the KYC with a passport (my license expired during COVID and while it's still valid for a year, Coinbase wouldn't accept it).  Back when I was doing academic research, I don't remember banking laws being allowed to interfere with bitcoin (it went against the...

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

@DoomKitty So if I want to buy a lot of BTC on CashApp, then I need to do the whole identity thing to send the money or move it to a wallet?  I don't want to spend all this money on BTC and have it stuck somewhere unable to access it.

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

@Jesse How do I increase my weekly spend amount on Coinbase?  I also hear people getting kicked out for "inappropriate" spending.  It doesn't sound very decentralized to me.  I studied this entire topic -- Blockchain and Bitcoin -- in college (like 4 years ago), but they never taught us about...

Intro to bitcoin and wallets walkthrough

I had a similar experience today with WU. Before they would approve my transfer, I got an email requesting additional information and that I had to call within 12 hours or my transfer would be cancelled. WU asked a lot of questions, but the customer service agent helped me with some of the...

  12. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  13. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  14. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  16. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
  17. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is INSANE how doctors treat tax paying hard working people like criminals when they ask for opioids. This world just keeps getting more and more backwards. But thanks to this site to be able to find people to help when no one in the medical world will.
