    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

Not exactly like it's a fact that I'm proud of, but I like to be honest.  I mean, it only got really bad because I was self-medicating on a consistent basis, and it was all because of a bad breakup. Sure, there was lots of drama, a lost job, and plenty of hurt feelings.  I got...well...pretty...

    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

Current status: Still opiate/opioid free Last time I used was on May 1st, at night.  I've been clean for about 16 days, and I've been taking naltrexone for a full 8 days now. It hasn't been easy.  The parts that scare me are those little lulls...the "it's about time for me to take my next...

    Poppy Pods

I used these for a while.  They certainly do the trick! What others has said is true: You'll want to grind them up together into one batch and weigh out a dose by the weight, not by how many pods you use.  This makes for much more accurate dosing.  Get a nice little cheap AWS scale and a coffee...

    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

Eh, though it's bad etiquette to double-post, I've discovered another trigger: relationship issues. I probably shouldn't be dating in my current state.  Met a person before I decided to quit all this.  Well...had high hopes, and she decided things weren't quite working out.  Which is OK...

    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

Well, the four days of the initial dose are up.  Now it's time to switch to 50 mg tonight.   Truthfully: I've done my research on this topic.  My own ability for research is what scares me a little bit when it comes to this sort of thing.  I've found myself wondering...why haven't I heard more...

    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

^No, there is no boredom here.  I understand the ambivalent nature of my condition...though I didn't have words for it until you stated it.  The truth is that a part of me is in love with using opiates and opioids.  I love the rush, the euphoria, the numbness, the feeling like that of a warm...

    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

Suzie...it's interesting that you bring that up!  It's something I've been struggling with a bit.  I recognize the truth in what you're saying.  I'm an easygoing individual though...anger isn't something I can hold onto for very long.  I was using anger before to push away those lies that...

    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

I'd like to thank everyone for their input here...it's certainly heartwarming to see such a show of support from individuals that I only know from browsing these forums! I have to apologize in advance for the length of the following post.  I tend to be extremely verbose when describing...

    Medically-assisted opiate cessation

I am an opiate addict.  I have been for the past two years, to varying degrees, ever since a particularly bad breakup. I only use to get high or to feel "normal", as is the unfortunate truth with opiates and opioids.  They call out to you.  They make you feel like something is missing in your...

    Poppy Pods

I've dug into these a little more.  Poppy's Pods has relatively good prices, and the quality of the product is good. If you're starting out...BE CAREFUL.  I've had a few bad experiences with these, mostly because of dosing too high.  Start slow.  Don't push it.  The Th3b@n3 in these can be...

    Kratom Discussion

I'm happy to see this thread explode with so much useful information!  I'm a big believer in Kratom these days.  It's helped me keep out of trouble with other substances...and it's helped my mood remain positive during some difficult days. My main source for Kratom these days is Green Leaf...

    Kratom Discussion

I'm a fan of Maeng Da, Vietnam, Malaysian, and the "Red Relief" blend that GLK sells.  It's really a functional sort of substance.  The stimulating strains give me an extra boost throughout the day, and keep my mood elevated.  It helps to keep me productive, on point, and optimistic.  No...

    What Do Benzos Feel Like?

I can agree with what's been said so far. Anxiety is something that I've struggled with over the years, and it can get pretty close to paralyzing if something big happens. I had a life-changing event about a year ago, and l0ras helped see me through to the other side. I feel no euphoria from...

    Kratom Discussion

It's true what they say about this stuff: tolerance builds quickly.  My first dose was about 4 grams, and it took me to a very nice place, and stayed with me for hours.  I started using it every day for a week. and now that same 4 grams gives me a little lift that lasts about 2 hours and...

    Kratom Discussion

I wouldn't have found out about Kratom if it wasn't for this forum.  It's been a life saver...really helps relieve the W/D symptoms.  It's a wonderful feeling on it's own too.  Not sure if I can speak about my source on this forum, but they've done right by me.  A small dose can really give that...

  12. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  13. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  14. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  16. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
  17. Alkazar @ Alkazar: It is INSANE how doctors treat tax paying hard working people like criminals when they ask for opioids. This world just keeps getting more and more backwards. But thanks to this site to be able to find people to help when no one in the medical world will.
