Finally admitted I have a problem

@Def_Starr, no judgment from me.  The harder you are on yourself, the worse it will be.   Just start over fresh.

Finally admitted I have a problem

Now on a journey again into sobriety.  Starting with all the painkillers and will detox off the benzos after that. @Def_Starr I am thinking that if you are young, your liver will be fine.  In my understanding, coke's not too bad on the liver, mostly the alcohol and the acetominophen.  Last time...

    microdiscectomy experiences, please

Just to give a follow-up to this thread, I am now  4 months postop and doing really well.  But haha, the joke's on me as I am now addicted to just about everything.  Coming to the realization that I don't have the back pain I once did and have no excuse for all the pain meds has been pretty...

    Subutex - Precipitated WD

When I started suboxone with a doc many years ago, he looked for all the symptoms before he would start administering subox.  The one thing he wanted to see was goosebumps, runny nose, a slightly higher BP and asking if the bowels were loose yet.  All of these signs mean you are ready to start...

Beauty And Skin Care Tips From Our Beautiful Ladies

I looked at the tara skin care but they have mostly horrible reviews on Yelp.   Do you actually get good service from them?

The Myth of Drug Expiration Dates

yes, who knows where they go when expired.  I completely ignore all expiration dates on OTCs and prescriptions (unless they are liquid, sometimes liquid medicines get gross).  A few months ago, I got some type of stomach bug and took some compazine from a prescription dated 2008.  It's a nausea...

Lumbar Epidural Injections And General Back Pain

They helped me, too.  I have lumbar issues.  But the rub is they wear off.  I've spoken to one person who got about 8 months out of one, but most  I've talked to say weeks to a month or two and then the pain came back.  But weeks to a month may be all you need to get the inflammation down and...

    Spinal Fusion

There are a few things that helped me, but I have heard that for this, time usually heals it.  Time did not help for me, only surgery and injections.  Please extend my sympathy to your husband.  This type of pain is no joke.  Mine ended with surgery and it is much better now.  It seems like your...

    What normally happens for sciatica?

I feel bad that I didn't see this topic until now because I can actually help with this quite a bit.  I've been suffering with this for about 14 months straight.  I have 2 herniated discs in lumbar back.  The first doc i went to was a physiatrist, who sent me to physical therapy.  I thought it...

    microdiscectomy experiences, please

@FlyingSquirrel, do the injections help you?  I can sympathize.  I have trigeminal neuralgia, too, in my face which caused terrible headaches and in my younger days prior to menopause, severe migraines.  A low dose of gabapentin every day has basically cured the neuralgia so I feel so lucky...

    microdiscectomy experiences, please

I thought I would follow up with my own topic since I am 9 days post-op now and may help others who are considering this operation in the future.   I've had back pain for over 10 years.  I work in a field where I sit a lot without breaks.   There's also a lot of degenerative arthritis and...

@Heavenlee, bad attempt at a joke.  I put myself down way too much, you are right.  Work in progress.  Thank you for the kind words.

    I Admit

@ClinicalPharmacologistResearc,  I am so sorry to hear that about your dad.  I truly know how you feel.  A few weeks before my husband died, he went away for a weekend and right before he died, he asked my son how the weekend was without him there and my son told him, "the best weekend of my...

    I Admit

@Heavenlee, thanks for caring about me.  I am still here.  I survived my microdiscectomy and I am so happy to be off work.   I admit I wish I never had to go back to work.   I have wonderful coworkers, but a terrible supervisor I would love to be transferred from.  I am a pretty good worker so...

    I Admit

I admit that I was clean for 10 years and a massively herniated disc put me back in the game, some prescribed and some not prescribed. I admit that sometimes I wished my husband would die when he would verbally abuse me.  Since he died from a heart attack a few months ago, I suffer tremendous...

    Tic repeller

Never heard of that one before.  My pup has already gotten one from my suburban yard in April and we saw another one crawling on my son.  Prior to that, my dogs have only gotten them in the forest preserve.  So it seems like a bad season at least for me so far.  I have special tweezers for them...

    microdiscectomy experiences, please

Hey, friends.  If you've had a microdiscectomy, can you relate your experiences, please.  Tips on how to recover, what I should expect.  I'm going for it after a year of doing everything to heal up this herniation.  The sciatica is unbearable and the doc thought he could not cure it completely...

Anyone ever had a package go missing/possibly stolen by worker

yes, but the vendor did not require me to split the loss.   The vendor told me it happens all the time that the mail guys get it.

  3. D @ drdso: It's scary now fr. I'm guessing we're gonna see a lot of exit scammers for former "reputable" veteran vendors. These tariffs/supply chain issues are causing them not to receive product due to seizure/denial. At a certain point they gotta get there money somewhere. Just be careful who you buy from y'all

  12. Alkazar @ Alkazar: Technically they were forced back to work the last time they went on strike in 2024, so this is the same strike for the same reasons in 2025.
  13. Alkazar @ Alkazar: I dont know how to direct reply to people on here. But the Canada Post strike will affect any mail coming from the US. It will be held at a facility until the striek is over. Mail that is being sent from CAD to the US will just not be picked up. It all has to be private delivery services now.
