They usually tell you when an order is split; They usually mail separated letters on different days (ex. one Mon & one Tues) and tell you in an email what they did, which days letters were mailed. Never received split unless notified it was split, but anything is possible.

I just checked ttm shipping prices and I don't see any increase in shipping price listed on their site ? It has always been based upon order amount. So I went partially through order process with sev variations to determine various shipping costs, and it still seems based upon order amount...
