Weight Loss On Bipolar Meds And Steroids Impossible! !

Most antipsychotics are a nightmare for weight gain. Especially olanzapine and clozapine. If you can stay on lower doses of quetiapine, the weight gain isn't so much. Lithium can cause weight gain and can affect your thyroid so your metabolism may slow down as well. But it can also be weight...

    My Experiences With Insomnia

Yeah, what doc would have a problem with trazodone? Not that it's without risks/side-effects, but they seem to have no problems unless it's benzos/controlled stuff IME. And some of them hand the ADs out like candy, they just don't seem to care anymore. But you ask for a few di@z to help your...

    My Experiences With Insomnia

Trazodone is sedating but quetiapine is much better, in my opinion, in terms of effect and side-effects. Diazepam is probably the safest benzo and a lot safer than Z drugs. Zopiclone is a favorite among UK psychs but it's slowly becoming apparent that Z drugs are not safer than benzos.

    depression discussion

What medications have helped you? SSRIs help me a bit but make me more anxious and apathetic as well, not good. Wondering if anything worked for you?

Differences Between Ambien, Lunesta, Sonata (Z Drugs)

Yeah, trazodone is good for some people with insomnia, but it can also make the depression worse. Your experience on this is not uncommon.

Best Bz For Keeping You Asleep

10mg diazepam is approximately equivalent to 20mg temazepam. I'm not sure what your doctor is getting at there. temazepam is a different drug from diazepam.

Not Sure Why I Still Feel The Need For X@nz If I Took Klonopin

Clonazepam has a different "kick" to strong, fast acting benzos. It's more mild, subtle, lasts longer but for a lot of people doesn't "feel" like a benzo compared to alprazolam or even diazepam.

    Winter Time Anxiety

I prefer winter as it's quieter, less people etc., but overall I would have to choose summer because it gets so cold in winter that my anxiety peaks. I can't seem to stay warm enough, heating is a problem. So I prefer the look of winter but yeah, my anxiety peaks in winter too. Unless I'm having...

    Meprobamate Vs Carisoprodol Vs Zanaflex

Soma is from what I have heard dangerous when it comes to addiction. Some people think because it isn't a benzo it won't give you addiction problems, or at least nowhere near as bad as benzos. Care needs to be taken with this drug.

    Armodafinil Vs Modafinil

UnitedPharmacies, this was a while ago. I'm not a fan of Modafinil, threw it all away in the end.

What Drugs Inhibit "satisfaction" In Your Experience

SSRIs ruin libido and blunt the feeling of climax, that's enough to make you more depressed. It's a side-effect to which I have as yet found no solution. Any ideas? I heard wellbutrin was good for it but I don't want to just add other drugs for the sake of it, plus I tried that already, all it...

    Sweet Sweet Soma

Soma has a bit of a "cult" following, lol. Been on my radar for a while but haven't tried it as yet.

    Suboxone For Anxiety!

It worked briefly, but then made my moods unstable. It had a lot of promise for me but ended in disappointment. A lot of others have had great results with it for anxiety/depression so it's worth a shot, it's currently being trialled for treatment resistant depression with some good results.

Best Bz For Keeping You Asleep

I would probably say temazepam or higher dose of diazepam.

Differences Between Ambien, Lunesta, Sonata (Z Drugs)

The shorter acting Z drugs could arguably be said to be less safe than certain benzos that are longer acting. There is a big risk of tolerance when you are taking a drug with a half life of 2 hours etc. vs 40 hours.

    Armodafinil Vs Modafinil

The same thing really. I felt little difference.

    Meprobamate Vs Carisoprodol Vs Zanaflex

Zanaflex is definitely sedating. Some more adventurous docs use it off-label for treatment resistant insomnia. But you can get used to it. First time I tried 2mg, I could feel the sedation. A few times after that, very little.

    Anyone Use Baclofen?

Sometimes I think baclofen is doing something, other times I feel it's like a sugar pill. It improves mood initially, I think, but then in the long run makes it more unstable. I've stopped trying to use it. Side-effects otherwise non-existent, and very cheap. Worth a go, some people report great...

    My Experiences With Insomnia

Hmm... Soma does sound interesting, but don't know if it's worth the expense. Its mechanism of action doesn't seem very clear. Which is why it's interesting, but then again it could just feel like another seroquel type thing, knocking you out.

    Midazolam (Dormicum)

Anything above a single 15mg pill (Dormicum - Roche) is excessive. 15mg knocks most people flat, unless you're like 350lbs or something.

  15. D @ drdrizzy13: Yeah it was definitely a hold. Can't blame the refs for calling it. But I've seen many sketchy calls in the past to help the spread or over/under lol.
  16. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Wonder how much money was impacted by that last touchdown and holding call back. The refs were flirting with the over/under payoffs… that flag either cost a lot people some money or won them a bunch. But I guess you can’t say it was a bad call, just a very impactful one.
  17. shoutback @ shoutback: Fucking A nfl season is over :( Those were by and far the best teams this season. That Elite D will just stifle mofos. And ya gotta give Darnold his flowers for taking care of the football. That was professional.
