Do you know about Phenibut or just new to me.

No drugs involved. The good thing about the online version, which I've looked at, is that you don't even talk to a person. It's more like an educational course to teach you to change your sleep habits. It kind of sucks at the beginning because they make it so you sleep less than you need in...

Do you know about Phenibut or just new to me.

If you're looking for a non-chemical aid for sleep, the research I've seen suggests that cognitive-behavioral sleep training is as effective as a sleeping pill especially over the long-term. There are a number of places that offer it online, which seems to work as well as in-person therapy and...

One of our dogs has lymphoma

I'm sorry to say we had to put Harry to sleep yesterday. He was doing fine until Thursday afternoon when he threw up and became very listless & he started hemorrhaging that night. It all happened very fast. My daughter did OK. She probably cried less than my wife & I, although she...

Do you know about Phenibut or just new to me.

I'd bet it's the phenibut causing the dreams. Baclofen, which is similar, increases REM sleep. My own theory is that increased REM sleep & more vivid dreams help you to stay asleep. I know that if I wake up & start thinking about something related to my waking life I have a harder time...

One of our dogs has lymphoma

My daughter is 9, but she's nonverbal & nonambulatory due to an undiagnosed genetic condition. She does talk using an eye-gaze device (a computer guided by the movement of her eyes) but her use of that is limited so she really can't ask complicated questions. We had just told her Harry was...

    The future of opioid production

This may be old news, although the actual research paper only came out last month, but it is now possible to produce  hydr0c0d0ne using genetically altered yeast. It will be a while before the process is refined enough to be effective, as the article below notes " it would take 4,400 gallons of...

    Best for weight loss?

The most effective are still amphetamines, but they carry their own problems. They decrease appetite and increase calories burned. I also suspect they're hard to get prescribed these days.

    Tramadol

Keep in mind that withdrawal from trams is like withdrawal from 2 diff't drugs at the same time: an opioid & an SNRI. To address the latter you might try switching to a real SNRI (tram acts like one but isn't classed as one) like Effexor--just don't use them both at the same time it's dangerous.

    80's Music...

I saw them 1st in a basement in a house in West Philly where people where slamming so hard they knocked the pipes out of the furnace & the room filled w black soot. I was coughing it up for a week but it was still a great show.

    The next President!

It doesn't really matter who is in the primary--my prediction is the choice will be between Clinton & Trump (or if the party finds some way to get rid of him, Rubio). And while both choices suck, it does make a difference.  I'm sure there were plenty of people in Germany in 1933 who said it...

Do you know about Phenibut or just new to me.

You can use them together as long as you decrease hyour usual dose, as they potentiate each other. I've tried 660 mg phenibut with half my usual dose of baclofen & gotten a good effect. The baclofen does more torelax muscles & the phenibut to reduce anxiety. Just be careful.

    80's Music...

I was a punk in the 80s so the concerts I remember were bands like MinorThreat, Husker Du, the Dead Kennedys, the Ramones, the Clash, etc. But I have come to appreciate a lot of these bands since. The Cure & the Pet Shop Boys are both well represented in my music collection.

    Best rock drummer ever

Bonham is great but my vote goes to Keith Moon--he was the most entertaining while still be technically brilliant. When it comes to pure skill though some of the best drummers rarely made it on stage--people like Hal Baine, Al Jackson & Bernard Purdie--all great drummers who played on some...

Do you know about Phenibut or just new to me.

Slightly off topic, but baclofen which an analogue of phenibut   but with the benefit of bring safer (its prescribed to kids) will definitely help you stay asleep. They both bind to gaba b receptors. I've found it works great although I altetnate with a benzo a couple days a week to decrease...

    Mulungu Bark

I thought I 'd add that even though this is promoted for inducing sleep, it doedn' t work that ewell for me in that regard. Relaxation yes but not sleepiness.

    Mulungu Bark

I ordered the tincture from Amazon (there was only one seller) but I just ordered some more from ebay seller hortus119 at half the price.  I just tried a double dose (close to 3/4 a teaspoon), which I took on top of kratom taken about 2 hours earlier--5 "00" caps of Cambodian MD (sorry I don't...

    Mulungu Bark

I've read a few reports on erwoid of people who had something near a religious revelation using this. I bought some tincture of mulugu bark & used it a couple times as suggested (a dropperful or 2) prior to sleep. I found it relaxing, but nothing very strong. The relaxation had more the...

Beta Blockers can be dangerous, be careful with this substance!

It's easy to forget how dangerous alcohol is since the powers that be make it more easily available than safer drugs. I'm happy I haven't touched that one in 29 years. And my doctor has been on irbesartan for my blood pressure, which I tolerate pretty well.

One of our dogs has lymphoma

After looking at the treatment options, we decided not to go with chemo. Harry is a very anxious dog & freaks out in any kind of institutional setting--so much that the vet prescribed him X@n@x after seeing him & we just think he'd be miserable going in to the vet repeatedly. He has been...

  4. ClintEastwood @ ClintEastwood: Robert Duvall and a handful of others were a younger actors coach and always said no one worked as hard as those guys did. Robert Duvall and rest would read the full script 228 over and over, then after the last read they would go into how to perform their character. The young man had made it to meet Al who are greats and pull them to the side. And explain what his coach said. They all looked back and said out of every role you’ve seen me in. I have read it 228 by myself. 🫡 🫢 🫢 🫢

  11. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I just wish the opioid epidemic never happened. Fk the turn of the century (which would be cool no doubt)! Many of my friends and family would’ve ended up in asylums like so many others. I just wish I could get back all those I’ve lost since the start
  12. L @ Layne_Cobain: 1914 I meant
  13. L @ Layne_Cobain: I often wish I lived during the turn of the century or at least before the Harrison narcotics act or whatever I think it was 1924 the fun ended but anyway yeh being able to get laudanum, ❄️ and amphetamine at the local friendly pharmacy
  14. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Chew on the leaves with a bit of slaked lime and enjoy the mild boost you get from the raw base.
  15. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I’m sure you know the folks in the mountainous regions along South Americas pacific side buy cócà leaves at the local farmers market just to help acclimate to the higher elevation when they have to head up into the hills.
  16. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I would certainly have bought it, swilled it, enjoyed it…. Why not? A little boost in your juice isn’t going to hurt anyone.
  17. R @ Royboy99: Exports were reported to have around 7.2mg per FL OZ, it’s success is what actually led to Coca Cola
  18. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Having cramps and husband thinks you’re acting hysterical (ie. PMS) the doc would either perform a certain massage to relieve the strains of motherhood and family life of that time or send you down to the local apothecary for a bottle of laudanum… A tincture of alcohol and 10% òpìųm. Fun days huh?
  19. R @ Royboy99: @malestrom: yeah thats it, my bad Mariani, yeah i considered that and also its ROA, which was oral so the bioavailability was lower than insufflation, higher degree of purity tho and longer duration … there was a significant marked increase of patents filed by Edison during the time it was released in the US. Presidents were known to use it as well, and the Queen. The pope awarded the wine the Vatican gold medal award
  20. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: I think it was called vin Mariani. But yeah, it was all the rave back in the turn to the 20th century. Original formula Coca Cola did it for a while too. I think it was pretty weak though. Something like 200 mg per liter of wine. Enough to maybe give you a little push but unless you could pound some serious alcohol, it’d be hard to really feel the effects before the ethyl knocked you down on the ground. It was an interesting time period. Laudanum was a “hysterical” woman’s best friend.
