So 25% of a pill = 10mg, where does the other 10mg come from you mention that lasts 8 or so hours if the other 3 quarters are having the same effect of 10mg IR?  Wouldn't that mean there would be more then 40mg in a 40mg tab?

From my own experience quartering a 40mg has yielded 4 equal doses similar to 10mg IR, but maybe I'm missing something?

I actually just started messing around with this whole process, so far I've just put the quarter piece in my mouth and dissolve/chew with incisors to avoid getting chunks of it caught in molars.  I'd imagine that dissolving in some solution (water/juice) would have a similar effect, just if you...

This is an older post so you might have figured it out already.  Though you would be on the right track, since they're Oxycontin (Extended Release) they can gel in water maybe making a solution difficult to measure.  There's something similar that I may have done with the 40's (Oxycontin)...
