1) Lift first thing in the morning. Lets face it life happens, as the day unfolds we are bombarded with stress from our careers, relationships, school etc. These stresses wear down on us mentally using part of our energy storages. Try lifting first thing in the morning when the mind is clear, when you are at your peak having just rested. I promise you will not only have better and more intense workouts but you will have a newfound energy and vigor as you attack your day.

2) Change up your workout. We are creatures of habit, it is how we are designed. Whether it is the foods that we eat, performing daily tasks or something as simple as the order in which we perform exercises during out workout. Change things up!! Try squatting at the end of your leg workout, perform failure sets, dropsets, supersets. Do not get caught in the habit of doing the same things each week.

3) Change your grip placement. It sounds so simple and arbitrary but it can have the biggest affect on muscle growth. For example: Whem performing straight bar curls using a wider grip places more emphasis on the inner head of the bicep, where as an inside grip places more emohasis on the outer head which helps form the peak of your bicep. Do you lack thickness to your biceps? Many do, well vary your grip!!

4) Cardio for muscle gain? Wait, what? That sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? Let me explain, endurance is everything in the game of muscle building. I do not car whether you are bulking, shredding or maintaining. Some type of aerobic activity should be peformed to exercise and grow lung capacity and overall heart health. The more endurance you have the harder and longer you can train and subsequently hit muscle hypertrophy and increased protein synthesis. For everyone that says cardio costs you gains, well then you simply need to eat more. I sprint outside in this absurd heat 4-5 nights each week, am I losing muscle? No, I maintain a lean 240-45 all the time. The sprinting gives me more endurance in the gym and overall health and vitality. I simply add in 8-1000 more calories on sprinting days.

5) Liquid carbs. Try consuming liquid carbs 45-50 minutes pre workout. I say liquid because solid foods require digestion which reduces energy and vasolidation during your training session. What type of liquid carbs? I use a supplement which has powdered sweet potato in it and have had great results. You could try something like gatorade pre and post workout as well.

6) Change up your cardio for fat loss. So many of us get caught in the habit of doing the stairmaster or the treadmill a few days a week. We put on our headphones for 45-60 minutes and trudge away. Switch it up. Get outside, run some hills, do some sprints, swim laps. Why do more people not do this? Because walking on a treadmill or a stepmill for 45 minutes is way easier than running hills in the summer heat. Our body is designed to be efficient, it does not want to be low bodyfat. The body will do everything it can to out smart you and return to homeostasis. This is why so many rebound after crash dieting or high cardio regimements. Performing the same type of cardio at same intensity day in and day out loses its effectiveness. Studies have shown the body begins to adapt in about 7-10 days and reduces the amount of fat calories being burned. This is not the case with HIIT cardio performed at shorter more intense durations.

7) Pick up the pace. Take less selfies, less texting and talking. Your lift should also be a subsequent cardio session because of the pace you train at. Think of it as muscle building cardio. If you arent drenched 15 minutes into your workout then you either have the endurance of a pre marijuana Michael Phelps LOL, or you are working at too slow a pace. Pick up the pace guys and yield awesome results!!! -

  3. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 lol I am actually surprised it is a real ID. I needed those documents because my license had been expired for over a year and I had to start all over. Nothing was in the system. It was a huge mess. I had no clue I was signing up for Real ID. They asked me for the exact same documents that I needed for a State ID Card.

  8. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda I was under the impression that you'd need all of the points to get a real ID . I'd check it's validity if you're gonna fly domestic any time soon, just to make sure. Not to tell you what to do, sorry -
  9. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 In my state to get a Real ID, I need SS card, Birth Certificate and two proofs of residency. Which I am positive I had to provide to get a new ID when it had been expired.

  18. B @ bigblueallda: {Visit your local Driver Service Bureau with the necessary documents: original birth certificate, Social Security card, and two proofs of your state's residency. } I definitely provided this when I had to get a new ID when i let mine go expired too long maybe I unknowingly got one but I think it is pretty standard here.
  19. B @ bigblueallda: Well it was a state id renewal. Before that there was a mixup and I had lost my birth certficate and social security number. After a couple of weeks and finally getting several documents in order I was able to get a state ID. It had been expired previously for a little too long and they wanted all kinds of proof. It was a mess. But nah I looked up what to look for an my state's ID to see if it is a Real Id or not and my card as the symbol it is supposed to have. I'll take a closer look though
