Amd Vs Intel

Hey All so happy I found this portion of the forum. I am working on a new power gaming rig and was wondering if we could get into a small debate over AMD vs Intel. Obviously intel is at the forefront of the CPU field but at what cost. Is it worth it to spend the extra 100-150 dollars when I can purchase AMD for much less with similar specs?

I know there are fanboys of each but I thought it would be fun and informative to have a conversation about the pluses and minuses of each!

I am an AMD man myself but I have a few PC's specifically a laptop running off the new haswell i7 cpu so i do not discriminate!

 
I just built my first gaming rig. I went with Intel.

From what ive read about AMD cpu's that they dont have the same power for each core like intel has. And they get allot hotter.

If you read around youll find that AMD cpu users has allot more problems with cpu not keeping up with games and gets to hot. You dont really find that in the Intel stuff.

I went with an Intel i5-4670. Its awsome.

And Nvidia gtx 760 gpu.

 
noice yea i have build siwht both and I find both have there place though I have an AMD fX-8350 4.0 ghz cpu in my main build and I love it no powe sucking and the heat is managable as it is overclocked right now to 4.2 and my cooling system keeps it pretty low the hottest it runs at when full stressed is a cool 40* C  Thats the nice thing about AMD the ease for overclocking!

 
i7 all the way.   I have 4770k and am very happy with it.

There are other ways to make payments that are easier, less hassle, no feesBTC..buy it one place, pray they don't find a reason to "HOLD" it. Then send to a different wallet, etc.
