Another MG/WU issue.

Haven't seen this issue posted yet so thought I'd give it a shot.

So this is the situation on hand in a nutshell. I was attempting to use WU/MG online apposed from going to a store to fill out the forms because I've been in so much pain I'm struggling beyond belief. I tried both, and both of them had the same questions; a list of family members, a list of parts of land I own, and a list of cars I own. 

Sounds simple enough, problem is I didn't know I even owned parts of land in the areas they stated. I called my real estate agent and there's no records of me owning any land in those areas. On top of that, the cars listed I never owned nor do I know of anyone that owns those specific vehicles. Regarding the land, nobody owns those plots of land. 

Scary part is I didn't even know where they're finding this information and why both WU and MG have the same exact questions. I keep getting declined online which is a real pain so going to head up to the store to finish this once and for all. 

Perhaps anyone else had similar issues?

 
I don't operate with that. Brick and mortar is the only way to go.

I have never been able to use the online service at any point, with any company without being blocked. I am not sure why this system still gets support on these forums. I guess because of a few lucky people.

 
I regularly use WU and MG online without any issues. When I have visited a shop/store to pay, it has all gone like clockwork.

@VIII have used both services successfully online for years until the past 6 months- a box pops up part way thru entering info asking me to call a #- given a sort of third degree with nosey questions but never any like you mentioned- more like SS#-HA! I never give out on the phone- and why am I sending #, to whom, and then they put me on hold to make their determination.......anyway, brick and mortar is a hassle but better

I certainly empathize with you and finding the trip way too much - hope you feel better soon

Saw similar questions when establishing my identity for financial inquiries - maybe the payment services - I use the term lightly- have instituted similar ones

The vendors who accept PayPal are the best for me - easy - just send $ to an email and choose own payment method - CC, Bank, Debit, PP account,,,,,,,

If only more adopted that method - a good project for me this month perhaps contacting and suggesting

My last mg though asked for my DL # that has never happened before . 

The funds were picked up fine . No issues. The walmart lady said things have changed recently on what info mg wants. Now I  getting mg advertising in Spanish to sign up for a gold card. I have had a good run so far but them typing in my driver liscense info is worrisome .

That is the only reason they should be asking for your ID

And is @ElectroNymph really gone for good? That's so very sad :( but fully understand I guess a smoking gun found for her sake, due to the way this forum works that kind of stuff cannot be tolerated even if its an honest mistake I wish she didn't try to do that. :(  Just sad about it. That is really too bad. I will miss reading her posts.

I wonder if some of you online fellas are using ...well forget it. Best not to talk much on that.

I think I know why some can use online and some cannot without being asked to provide extremely personal info first, and then only to have the transaction canceled anyway. I know many people who had the same experience online so I am always blown away by hearing what you said Fargo about no problems, even starting up no problem.

I could see if you coughed up a bunch of info maybe makes things easier.

Anyone notice that there is a new answer in the reason for sending part online? I had it pop up after choosing normal answer, carried on with other stuff, then had to fill all th info out again. But this time the new answer appeared. I just clicked same answer even though the other answer seemed like a better reason to send. Very strange

Everything went though without problems and in record time. Sometimes they can take a long time to process everything, and you start think it wont go through.    

 
mg/wu make it so difficult online sometimes , deny transaction's take your money from your card wait 7-30 days for refund back to the card/account. I cannot use WU, and the first time i used MG ONLINE, i had to call to verify and made up this bs answers to there questions, it went through i  hope if i do it next time it will go through online with out calling before MG bans me like WU?

it be nice to send CIM to EU? but how do a vendor will accept ?

 
Good job @Def_Starr I've done pretty good because all my transactions for years I used under my  husbands name. They flagged him but it took four or five years. So I opened my own mg and wu online and Xoom . WU flagged me after only two months, reason: I do too many transactions online. The crazy part is that we're most of them was to help out my first ex husband because he calls every few weeks with a sad story that he can't even buy a pack of cigarettes. I should have said quit smoking asshole!  Sorry he was a horrible husband to me and horrible dad to my child. My second husband would always say to help him and would win, against what I wanted. He just wasted ten of my transactions to send him money for his alcohol. Now mg is denying my transactions saying I have to send a govt id to prove it is me before I can send anymore money online. Has that happened to anyone else? I really don't care about the wu since the vendors I use don't want me to use it, they ask me to get out of bed and go to a mg location. Not too much to ask! Also isn't Xoom hooked up with PayPal I've used once but it did take a long time, I got a call had to answer a ton of questions and it took four hours to be approved. Is it always like that? Thanks in advance!

 
that's crazy wu/mg is making it miserable ! them bitches should be thankful they are getting our money ! :/ so what and big deal who and where I send my money, next time they interrogate me il just be like sending money to your moms for head

sorry about WU flagging you, those bastards :/ maybe eventually after so many years the flag goes down? il stick to in person as long as it doesn't get denied il do it

 
The harder they make it, the more likely people will move to other methods of payment like bitcoin. I thoroughly recommend it too.

 
Anyone have their MG donation "blocked" for no apparent reason?  A vendor recently said that their receiver could not pick up my donation because it was "blocked.".  I called MG and they said the payment wasn't blocked and ready for pickup.  I do my donations at a brick and mortar using their kiosk, not the red presidential phone like at most stores.  Its worked flawlessly until now. ...

 
@BMCI've had that done not too long ago with an order from an sky vendor and I had to cancel my first one and wrote my vendor and he gave another name to use and this happeneded three times in just one time I ordered. I don't think it is anything to be alarmed about since a lot of people are seeming to have problems with sending donations, not much with money gram though, mainly wu. My guy didn't have the proper documentation that's why one was delayed, hope this helps!

Thanks @Heavenlee I am now thinking it may be a vendor problem but not sure as of yet.  I did receive my package today but was shorted some of my order.  Sorry to hear of your troubles @Nikolas, hope it works out for you.
