My significant other was having a really bad panic attack and we'd run out of our usual at I vans. I gave him two hy drox zines and two fior cets w/ c0d. He is now st0n3d out of his mind and rambling on and on.

*snicker-giggle fit*

Ahhhhh the good ol' days of zero tolerance. How do I miss thee.

He's talked about his opinion of various fruit for a half hour straight.

Poor guy -- I sort of know what you mean about medicating loved ones.  I have severe IBS-D, and I used to have sublingual tablets that I kept by the toilet, just in case.  However, those stopped working for me, and I forgot about the bottle of pills stashed there.

One day my husband was having a bad case of diarrhea, and he took one of those pills.  Oh it stopped him up all right - he didn't go again for days!  He was like, how can you take these things?  I said I don't anymore, I take something stronger now, LOL!!

Oh no! I think I'd get fired as his unofficial pharmacist if I did that to him. Luckily he doesn't get into my pills. He just tells me his symptoms and takes whatever I hand him. So much trust. I pill finder and Google research anything I put in my system even if its a trusted source like my dad.

Well to be honest, he just took my pills without asking, so I had no hand in it.

Although, like I said that particular medication was very mild to me, so much that I stopped using it because it wasn't effective anymore.  I am not a good judge when it comes to that kind of thing -- my gastroenterologist has to give me the hi-test stuff lol.

I had IBS of the opposite variety and I found the rx pills to be really rough. I take one 5 hour energy a day and that seemed to clear up the problem. I don't drink soda or coffee though so it probably wouldn't work for most people. For me though that little shot of caffeine was a miracle worker.

Ah, you are lucky in a way - I have been this way most of my life.  I remember having these issues in kindergarten!

Without medications, I have to go upwards of 16 times a day, no exaggeration (I had to keep a journal for one dr!).  That poses another whole set of problems like hemorrhoids and related issues.

I remember when I first took the medications, I thought something was wrong with me the first time I could wait four whole hours in between BMs.  A miracle of science!!! /default_smile.png

Lol yeah that sounds worse to me! Especially because one of my anxiety issues is using public bathrooms. I'd never be able to leave the house!

Travel was exceedingly difficult until I got better control via medications. Now I can even fly with a little extra planning. :)

I would fall over dead if my boyfriend even had a cocktail, much less anything else.

Hi wyldepixie,

Nope, after my wife passed away six years ago I started dating again, about one year ago.  The problem is that I dated a lot of women, some with a tremendous amount of baggage and some only wanting stability to start a family as well.

I'm very sorry for your loss. The idea of starting to date again would make me go on a rollercoaster of panic attacks. You're brave to be able to get back in.

  12. xenxra @ xenxra: @Poppycock i can't recall if this popped up when I did my order however it's letting me bypass that section of checkout by just toggling "None" on the 3 marked checkboxes. Worst case scenario they just refund you after checkout. I would just try that if you really need it for medical purposes. My gut is telling me this is what I had to do but like I said, i can't recall 100%
  13. T @ timyboy: Fax?? geeesh are they still living in the 80s there
  14. P @ Poppycock: @xenxra thanks but when I get to the checkout section there’s a “medical history” section and there’s a line that says “fax or email your prescription to us”. Are they just putting that there to protect themselves? Or have their changed to now require prescription?
