Hi all. My partner had a hip operation last year and as a result has been in more, constant pain than before she had it done.

Doctors have tried her on cocodamol 30/500, codydramol, Gabapentin and now Pre Gabs. After her xrays, MRI, and Ultrasound scans they have come up with arachniditis (bring on the spider jokes people)! She had an epidural for the op and they think it may be the formation of nerves clustering round scar tissue at the base of her spine. She gets roughly 4 hrs sleep then has to get up to go downstairs, shove a hot water bottle in her back and take more meds. Shes suffering all the time and the waiting between consultations takes forever. They still dont know for sure whats going on but her quality of life is crap! I sometimes give her a Benzo(Mine)!! to get her off to sleep. i was thinking about morphine, just for some respite occasionally, but am not sure about the drug , method of ingestion or dosage. I have a vendor with Morphine sulphate tabs 10mg PR. Is this a good next move?? Any suggestion of any kind would be welcome from this great forum!

Send me a pm and I will share my thoughts and personal experience.

Morphine has been the most consistent pain fighter more me (hydrocodone, oxy) works as well. Soma can help. My issue is completely different so it's different for all. My left shoulder suppresses a nerve system and especially if the pressure drops I can hardly move my left arm without immense pain. I used to was in amateur fighting (tried going pro) but after injuries had to stop. Some Dr don't believe me yet I have no reason to lie. My shoulder pain often surpasses any of the worst pain I had after a serious boxing match (including broken nose, broken jaw and two broken rips and a double splinter break in my hand bone(forgot name) anyways when pressure drops my shoulder feels worse than all that together.

My quality of life got so low as well, to the point of thinking suicide is an better option. I love live and I work hard , have a good job. Loving wife. Good family. Nothing I'd change, but that damn pain comes and it's like not worth living for.

Thank God for this forum and helpful people and vendors. The laws have made it nearly impossible to retain the correct medication.

I'm not a Dr. But every Dr tried putting me on every non opiate possible to help and nothing did more than maybe help 20+30%, which is still low quality of life, I also can't sleep longer than 4 hrs without feeling knife stabs in my back.

So I took the matter in my own hand, and I 100% recommend you giving her morphine low dosage to try out. It changed my life, thank God for this vendors!! I see seriously think a real opiate could increase her quality of life tremendously. Addiction is always a concern, but not to me, I'm much more concerned with being at a level where I can continue to work hard, support my community and support my family.

Ps: I'm not a doctor, so don't take any of my advice as serious medical advice. For my own sake, I've been researching it for years. It seems if taking controlled and the right way, there isn't to much body harm from taking it for the rest of our lives.

Sorry one more ps: some ppl have some adverse effects from morphine, hydro or oxy) I don't, they work best for me. But I had a friend that had been taking morphine for a while and switched to tapentadol (which I do like as well, but I prefer the upper mentioned opiates. Tapentadol doesn't rely on an enzyme some ppl have less of. It is a single molecule that has a dual mechanism of action. To me 100mg tapentadol compares to 20mg oxy. So just as another option.

Friendliest greetings

Jiub

  1. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: Hopefully it will just be a good game. Watching TCU’s natty run was about the worst it can get. Please don’t give us another blow out 60 min lol
  2. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: As much as I would like to see Carson Back win a natty after all he’s been through. I just don’t see it
  3. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: The U isn’t stopping that offense or defense. Even if they do manage to some what dumb down that defense. The offense is just way too explosive! Fkin Indiana who would’ve known lol
  4. M @ meepmoopmeep: Wasn’t fun watching Oregon get curb stomped in the first half but Indiana deserved the win more
  5. M @ meepmoopmeep: I think Indiana is going to win the natty
  6. D @ drdrizzy13: wow Indiana looking really really good.
  7. L @ Layne_Cobain: I seriously hope our guy @tiquanunderwood didn’t take a header after that Steelers ravens game and harbaughs firing jr ain’t worth it tiquan sports drive all of us equally mad at times hope you’re chillin 😎
  8. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: I’m salty myself, being an Ohio state fan, but Miami is winning by the smallest margin. Indiana going to be hard to beat
  9. M @ meepmoopmeep: I’m salty about the SEC being eliminated but good for Miami. it was a well fought game by both teams
  10. M @ meepmoopmeep: Imagine being a 10 seed barely squeaking into the playoffs becoming a cinderella team
  11. M @ meepmoopmeep: I think they can beat Oregon, but Indiana is too good
  12. Realbenzeyes @ Realbenzeyes: Who thinks Miami stands a chance vs either team (Oregon or Indiana) my bet is Indiana but you never know
  13. S @ sporidicus: delete this though, if it's the wrong place

  18. Thoth @ Thoth: @sporidicus honestly depends on the mag. Read read read read the forum
  19. Thoth @ Thoth: CFP needs more of an NBA or MLB playoff structure but that would be hard to structure. Divisions inside Leagues
  20. S @ sporidicus: or is there a better place on the forum to ask
