I'm in deep doo doo. U/A showed alcohol in pee; so it's my first strike; second one --if I blow it--I'm out. How long does alcohol stay in system? The thing is, if I don't drink, for several days, I need xannies to get me through the night. But then the xannies will show up in pee! I'm only allowed the PK's to show in urine, to prove that I'm not selling them or stocking up. This clinic uses an outside lab.
Fortunately, my doc is very sympathetic/empathetic, and just told me to call the lab and ask how long it's in the system. He said just don't drink 5 days before your appointment. He's cool, but shite: no pot, no zannies, no wine, no ritz (although surprisingly these did not show on panel, anyone know why?); I really feel for the banned medical pot smokers who also use PK's, as the THC stays in system for months! Again, my doc felt for them saying patients naturally turn to alcohol/pot to help with pain management. But he has to comply, of course, and I would hate to lose this relationship!
Anyone else in same boat? I was surprised by the length of the "contract" and the multiple signatures, required, and the pharmacy used....the "language" missed nothing! All as a result of the opiate "crisis" going on in our nation. Even pain clinics are freaking out looking over their shoulders.
There was a lot of moaning and growing at the clinic as we are were filling out (and freaking out) about this new contract.
