Discuss payment options on vendors' trheads?

Hello @admin,

I noticed a lot of talk about experience with such or such payment option on threads pertaining to experience with vendors.

I would have thought that discussing money transfer agencies on a vendor's thread is risky. We know of suppliers who have been banned from WU, MG, Alert Pay etc. etc. It makes buying from them more complicated all the time and also puts them at risk.

I personally believe that discussion about payment options should be limited to forums about payment options and that such discussion shouldn't mention vendors.

An exception could be made for mentioning the possibility to use bitcoins, as they all accept them or, maybe, the possibility to use credit cards, without any details about which ones. I did say "mention the possibility" not "discuss the use".

I did not see anything on that subject in DBG forum rules.

I might be paranoid 🤔. Just a suggestion.

G.

I think you have a very valid point here, @Guinevere, and I believe this, as well as not posting on vendor threads before subscriptions are received, is posted at the top of each page in the vendor thread, at least in the SY section.

I would include @2earlsas well. You do need to highlight the user name, like I did above for a notification to appear.

I not sure it makes a difference. That info is available to anyone LE or customer.

My advice as an email vendor is simply ask when you introduce yourself via email what methods of payment are accepted.

  14. D @ drdrizzy13: The transfer portal has turned big conferences especially the SEC more like trading players. And they need to fix the NIL deals. Not really fair for one player to get 7 mil and his teammate getting 1k. It's corrupted college football..
  15. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: @Layne_Cobain Lets go boyyyyyy!
  16. tiquanunderwood @ tiquanunderwood: Happy Football Sunday! Leggo Ravens baby.
  17. Maelstrom @ Maelstrom: Bulldogs take the cake - Kiffin deserves to play in a place called Death Valley - Man how I used to love Saturdays in the fall. But College Football is dead. My prediction? Transfer portal and NIL with million dollar “salaries” mean NCAA Football becomes the defacto NFL D league except they’re all free agents. To compete, Superconfrences are going to continue to consolidate, privatize or go corporate, and the NCAA can go back to worrying about title IXX and Women’s volleyball and such.
  18. D @ drdrizzy13: I think they'll probably win it all.
  19. D @ drdrizzy13: Georgia way too dominate
  20. M @ meepmoopmeep: i think most of us expected it but not how badly it went down
