So, I was seeing a pain dr in FL for 0xy$ for about a year (I take them responsibly for legitimate severe migraine pain due to my condition), and then I got pregnant, and we decided it wasn't a good idea to be on them while I was pregnant so I weaned myself off. He told me to come back after I had the baby and he would put me back on them. Well, fast forward 9 months, went to my apt, and he said he wants to run more tests and doesn't want to prescribe me pain meds anymore because it wouldn't be covered by my insurance?? I told him I didn't care, I am suffering from migraines 3x a week, sometimes more, and I have a newborn that needs me!! I didn't want to sound like a drug-seeker so I stopped and didn't beg. This is devistating to me because I really thought I had found a dr who listened to me.. I know what he said is an excuse because they're cracking down on prescribing, but I'm in need of a new dr in FL who isn't terrified to prescribe pain meds. Any help would be a godsend, I have 10+ years of pain records, MRIs, etc. Please, if anyone knows anyone near southeast FL..
