Hi all, hope everyone is doing well today! Wanted to make a thread to see if anyone wanted to discuss their favorite music, and also if there were any musicians here.

I play guitar, mostly attempt to play jazz fusion and free jazz. My favorite genres as a listener are jazz fusion, jazz (especially free/avant-garde), hip-hop (especially 90s and underground), and metal (particularly classic thrash and some newer experimental/avant-garde black metal).

I'm a due Hard Grunge and Rick dude. born in 82 so grew up listening to black Sabbath Zeppelin Queen Aerosmith Guns N Roses Journey , Def Leppard. my dad was Obsessed with Ked Zeppelin also. I saw Jimmy Page and Robert a plant in Boston at the brand new Previousky Called Fleet Center . it was 1994 I was only 12. also Saw Stone Temple Pilots with Scott Weiland at Hampton Beach Casino in 2011 then again at a small hometown venue called Meadow Brook in Gilford NH as I'm from the Lakes Region In New Hampshire. saw them there in 2013 unfortunately he passed in 2015. I also saw Bush and the Cult and STP with Chester Bennington before he suspiciously passed in 2018. Then this year in May I saw Get the Led Out a Zep cover band in Portland Maine who were amazing as well. love my Rock and love my Grunge. it's really just good Rock though. would love to see Pearl Jam very badly as well before they stop touring but I doubt that they ever will . fingers crossed. so that's what I like but I'll listen to female artists too anything that sounds good to me besides Country Music or classical. So yea. that's pretty much it. music is quite literally the only thing that helps me when I'm going through withdrawal from opiates . it's saved my life many times. it sounds so crisp and alive and you can feel it through your entire body. as opiates pretty much numb everything so once you stop doing them all your emotions

I can definitely appreciate rock and grunge. Love Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Soundgarden. Also Sonny Sharrock, his guitar playing was kind of a blend of free jazz and noise rock. That must have been really cool seeing Page and Plant as well as seeing those STP shows. I am not a huge country fan either but do enjoy some classical stuff. I can definitely see how music could be really helpful with WDs too. Music (both playing and listening) for me is hugely helpful to my mental health.

yes I am turning 43 September 2nd and I want to go see a show at Hampton Beach Casino with this chick I really kike but we both currently do not have a liscence so hopefully we can figure something out. I have three choices that I think would be worth it. It's Collective Soul , then also Brit Floyd and Finally Ziggy Marley who I really do like. so I'll ask my friend Myranda what she would prefer but im leaving towards Collective Soul or Brit Floyd. we will have to see. Gotta make sure I have shit for us to have a good time. and pay for a room . she's on Methadone a really high dose and every time Ive bought shit and hung out with her she just rips rite through it immediately ahd then says she doesn't even feel anything and it's kike fuck why do I ever bother spending the money. I tell her it's pointless cause if the size of methadone she's on ( 280 mg) and it's kinda just wasting the shit. oh well I just want her to be happy. I just want to get something special like Molly or Mushrooms ya know or some good coke. dhe always says u don't need to get anything she just kikes my company but I want to have fun and make it a special memory. I've told her I want a romantic relationship with her and the thing is she has an autistic 8 year old son and said if she was to ever date anyone again that the person would have to love her son as much as they love her which I completely understand.

I really hope it works out for you and her to be able to see one of those shows, and hope it works out to get something special to make it a special memory too! Yeah that is totally understandable about the person she dates needing to love her son as much as they do her. I hope that things work out with wanting a relationship with her too.

  19. Aarfgh @ Aarfgh: Telp, that is one word I literally NEVER can get right at first go-round >.< (recipe)
  20. Telp @ Telp: Anyone else notice that the recipes/cooking section is spelled wrong? “Recepies” lol not hating at all just pointing it out. It reminds me of myself trying to spell exercise and end up with “excersise”
