Both are essential IMO to a point. Too much fruit can be detrimental to the way we look (high % fructose) and prevent fat loss. They are usually high in vitamins and minerals (as are veggies), which are needed for optimal health and function (muscular contraction). Greens are a great way to keep the body alkaline, which aids in digestion along with the fiber content (helping keep digestive track fresh and functioning). Remember that fiber can interfere with nutrient absorption so it is not wise to have at EVERY meal. I will even use mixed veggies (with carrots, peas, corn, etc..) as a carb source with certain meals bc i am carb sensitive
