Gemini not letting me ach?

I went through the whole verification thing and linked an account but it is only offering me the option of wire transfer , is this normal, do I need to wait even longer ?

About to give up and go to a libertyx bitatm

 
This is old but I just came across this thread and I am familiar with Gemini. You may have figured it out or probably went another route by now - but, for anyone else trying Gemini: The first transaction is wire transfer. After that goes through, you can use ACH. It's a security measure that it's your bank acct.

I personally like the Gemini platform due to the privacy culture. BTC purchases are a tiny higher than average but transfers to hardware or other BTC addresses are free. 

 
@PeaceMaker I’ve been using Gemini and like the ease of the app, but I did an ach transfer the other day for USD then tried to buy BTC but it took about 5-6 days for the money to clear out of the account. It was very frustrating as I had someone waiting on the funds. Does the wire transfer give you a quicker access to purchasing the BTC? Or is it about the same waiting period either way?  Also, if you don’t already answer this question, what is the fastest way to purchase BTC?  Usually you have to have a wallet, purchase BTC from a source and then transfer to the wallet. Just curious as I use BTC to purchase, store and send. Thanks in advance.
