Hi all

I have searched the forum and net and cannot find the specific advice I am after, with the world of experience here I am grateful.

I want to split 40mg oxy. I want to do this because I only need 20mg Oxy. I am not looking to defeat modified release, just obtain 2 20mg halves.

Has anyone done this before with success?

Many thanks in advance..

Hi there @kinsona

Yes it can be done, but you will ideally need a pill cutter.

A scalpel or a very sharp knife would be enough to cut it.

It will most likely crumble to powder if you don't have something sharp enough.

You could also crush it and swallow half the powder in some food maybe..?

Stay safe whatever you manage.

Regards,  T.

Hi @Toker thanks for coming back. Pill cutter sounds the way to go in the longer term, in the shorter term, I can see me getting out the 2000/8000 whetstone to sharpen me some japanese steel.

I have 25 years of opiate intake, but much, much weaker product so thank you for the note of caution, it is always important, even with years of experience to be careful.

Thanks again.

Regards A..

If your going to be cutting a significant amount of pills you should relay invest in a decent cutter, as the cheap ones make ragged cutts and lose alot of powder. a decenent designed one will make a clean cut in 1/2s 1/4s 1/8' or sometimes even less, and the little dust created is saved away in a small storage vial.   And their not realy expensive   -----    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JMHZ5BG/?tag=medconsumers-20

  12. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Don’t message people about things like veterinary care without taking care to mind the rules you two crazy nuts. More at stake than getting bad info or scammed, there’s predators out there looking for bigger fish and will step on a guppy to get to them. Fishing expeditions aren’t just for private citizens enjoying a calm weekend exploring the lake for a fish hookup. Offish of offishial fishing investigations may be looking for the best fishing hole and scare off the big
