Hi everyone!  First post!  Been on this site for several months, done a LOT of reading, know what I'm looking for and feel like I have a good idea of where to go.  BUT I haven't been able to find any topics or forums about protocol/etiquette for emailng vendors-- like send an introductory email first, or do such and such, or don't do such and such.

So glad this forum is here & I've learned a ton.  Thank you all!

/default_ohmy.png....I would send a message in a bottle.......

Many thanks 2earls!

I'm skeptical yellowbelly....that seems like it would take a really long time, and the person might never actually get it!   /default_wink.png

Welcome and yes there are no instructions on really what to do because each vendor has a different process.

Decide what you are looking for and you should be able to see who offers what by reading the post if a vendor carriers that product.

If a vendor has a website it's self explanatory. Some vendors you have to contact by email and they will provide you with instructions.

We don't refuse to help anyone here especially new comers but you have to make an attempt to find out information first. If you know what you want and think you want to try a vendor and do not know how to contact them throw a question on the board and we will give you tips.

The search box is a good tool.

And most importantly read all of the members feedback before making your decision. Start with the most recent post in a thread and read back from there.

And try to use code when talking about meds - like xanys or pea kays etc.

Good luck.

Hello, I found you on DBG and would like to know if you would send me a list of your products and prices. Thanks!
My standard phrase: Hi there, I found you on the DBG forum and I became interested in your menu. Would you be so kind, to send me your menu and pricelist? Please provide me with all the relevant details with regard to how to order, how to pay and to which countries you do and do not ship.

I would tell them your a member here and share your username so they can look you up if they want to

I would follow either email template given about but never reveal my user name.

  1. xenxra @ xenxra: yeah but isn't the password restricted to sponsors anyway? why not just make that section private like the other ones? or is "brand new members" inclusive of sponsored accounts that are newly registered?
  2. Gracie5 @ Gracie5: The password isn’t given automatically, at least by me. I don’t give it to brand new members.
  3. xenxra @ xenxra: dm admin for password. i still don't really understand the purpose of the password section if it's just given out freely to anyone who is a sponsor.
  4. N @ Nebulon Kitty: I've recently donated to become an opal member, and posted in the thread after the donation. How do I go about actually getting the password to the members area and my Opal status.
  5. CalFresh @ CalFresh: @Admin Thank you so much for your support. I am blown away by your generosity. Your contribution ensures I will be able to continue to serve this community with the same level of value and high-touch customer service they deserve. My most sincere and heartfelt thanks for all that you do! You've created an amazing place and I'm proud to be a member!

  12. Steviejay88 @ Steviejay88: @otbotf I believe you need to get it from an admin
  13. O @ otbotf: how do i find the password to the locked pages?
  14. H @ hotdog45: @Mokachin0 thank you. Truly those words are not enough, but it's all I have at the moment. You are an amazing person.
  15. M @ Mokachin0: Search vet bills if your a member who needs help with vet care or basic staples for your pet, admins will verify I’m extending a real offer
  16. xenxra @ xenxra: @Steviejay88 if there's one major takeaway i've gained from all the indictments against onion farmers it's that you should never rely on server-side encryption for these kinds of things. please refer to hansa as a case example.
  17. A @ Aarfgh: @Steviejay88 absolutely my man, good question
  18. Steviejay88 @ Steviejay88: @Aarfgh II just want everyone to stay safe
  19. Steviejay88 @ Steviejay88: @Aarfgh yea I don’t want to start anything
  20. A @ Aarfgh: @Steviejay88 so as not to stir any pots, I'm not an expert on this particular forum software however I know natively it doesn't. that doesn't mean a plug-in wasn't used of some sort, if it's even possible. check out the dev console in your browser and poke around now you've got me curious
