Although you'll see me signing my posts with "b2g", because it requires fewer keystrokes and I'm a lazy old man, my handle, "Back2Good", actually explains pretty well why I'm here. After suffering a heart attack a couple of years ago and subsequently being diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, I went through all of the recovery medications and procedures the specialists recommended, "graduated" from their recovery program, then set out to read about my condition, with the result being (drumroll.....) The specialists have no better idea of what happened to me than I do. My HDL / LDL levels are smack in the middle of the established "normal" levels for my age, as are my triglycerides, there was no arterial blockage, and I have no congenital cardiac conditions - No one knows how my pulmonary hypertension came about, only that I have it - And it is an incurable condition that can be controlled with medication, but never cured.
Not much else to tell about myself other than that I'm an army veteran (signed up to get that sweet G.I. Bill money and found myself in two conflicts, Panama, then recalled for the Kosovo campaign), played football in high school in Central Texas and for the Big 12 university I attended for undergrad, and am currently a program manager for a very large hardware / software / services firm. I have three children, all grown and gone, and two grandchildren, a wife who's managed to put up with me for 26 years, and I'm a few years short of retirement - I'm the guy you see at the hotel check-in desk asking if they take military or AARP discounts (or both), and ordering from IHOP's "Seniors" menu.
Best regards,
