Hi my name is Elk and I have been on this forum for about a month thus far. I experience depression, social anxiety, a lack of daytime energy and insomnia and have recently gained weight which probably due to one or more of the meds I'm taking, so as you can see there's quite a lot to interest me here.

I have pretty much lost what little faith I had in psychiatrists in the UK they seem to just wanna fob me of and get rid of me and rarely give me much relief.

Ah well, the sun still shines, good music still sounds great and thank God I am still able to enjoy life a lot of the time. I just wish I could resolve these issues and live a more 'normal' life.

Thanks to all on this forum you've already been a considerable help and seem to be a nice community of people who actually care a little, which is refreshing.
