Hi everyone,
Seeing as the last time I was here was something approaching a decade ago and I can't even remember my username (and definitely don't have access to that email anymore!) I figured I'd reintroduce myself
As mentioned, been in the scene for a long long time, with a hefty break somewhere in there. I just wish I had remembered this place earlier, would have saved me more than a bit of hassle and money, but at least I'm here now!
Super happy to vaguely recall a number of names, though as more of a lurker I don't think many would remember me. Should be fun to explore some pharmacology and recent developments there since I moved from neuroscience to machine learning. Stopped keeping up with publications in the.
field but since now they're coming back together... Well it's an extemely exciting time for drug development as a field.
I'll have to think about creating some LoRA LLM adapters for all the novel stuff these days, would be nice to have an AI that does a decent job at predicting or suggesting doses, tapers, contraindications, subjective experience based on anecdotal experience and structure, etc. If anyone is interested in helping with such a project or has machine learning experience/expertise, definitely let me know! Otherwise ill keep it at the back of my head for the time being
Anyway, already feel like people are generally as kind and helpful as ever here. Refreshing compared to say, reddit or most other forums.
Glad to be back
