is it possible to get a home urine drug test, and take a pill, crush it up and put it in water and test it with the drug test. would that work?
It all depends upon the medication. Let us assume that you have a prescription for one of the drugs that are being tested. Otherwise, they are not testing for that drug. So, you now have put the pure drug directly into the urine. There is still a question based upon the particular drug. Some urine tests for drugs actually test for the parent drug and some test for the metabolite. If the test actually tests for the metabolite, then, no, it will not show up on the drug test. However, if the test measures the parent drug, then YES and I mean YES, it will DEFINITELY show up on the drug test. The quantitative value for the test will also be so high that it would have to be ran with a high dilution. The reason for this is that you would probably be putting an entire pill or dosage in your relatively small urine output of 100 mL or less. The dosage for one pill of most drugs is set to accommodate a normal human weighing anywhere from about 60 kg to 150 kg. The less than 0.1 kg sample you are providing should only contain less than one percent of the amount that you would put into the sample. Therefore, it requires a large dilution for the quantitative value to be within the linear range of the instrumentation. There may be some who have studied the pharmacology of a lot of drugs and provide examples where urinary output can far exceed one percent of a single dosage, but I do not recall any maximum’s for any drug. These are just generalities
That should work out ok for you. Your just looking for the presence of the drug right?it would be b3nz0s
