How are these BTC only e-commerce looking vendor sites being made?

How are these clearnet vendor BTC shops being made? Just curious, I have a friend who is vending on DNMs and is curious as to how these things work. Are there people who are setting these services up for vendors in exchange for payment in BTC, or are these vendors all coding their own sites? I'm assuming they work like an built in tor2web sort of deal that only truly anonymizes data on the vendors end?
