How do the tariffs affect IOP?

I've been confused since hearing about Trump's tariffs.

What I mean is, how are things taxed--as in, is it like sales tax at stores, where it just means the items are more expensive? Or is it that when an item comes into the country, you get a letter saying you owe money? Or does someone show up at your door with their hand out?

Pleae demystify it for me.

Thanks in advance.

I think as I understand it, it depends a lot on how the seller opts to handle it. Some sellers cover the tariff and increase the price to compensate; whereas in some instances where I'm assuming the seller has not covered the tariff, people have received invoices from the sh¡ppiñg/d£livër¥ company they used stating an amount they owe for the tariff. As far as I know thus far I haven't heard of anyone showing up directly to people's door for tariff collection purposes. I am not sure exactly how this works for orders related to our hobby/orders related to the subject of this forum, the 2 things I mentioned above with raised prices or receiving an invoice are more from experiences I've seen shared with other types of international orders.

When you get an invoice for the tariff, where do you go to pay it? Do you go to the post office or what?

The people I've seen mention getting the invoice have had to pay it to the sh¡pp¡ng c0mp@ñ¥, but that was not with the four letter, and idk if they paid online or had to pay in person. So I'm unsure how it would work with the four letter. With other non four letter sh¡pp¡ñg 0pti0ñ$ it seems like the way it works is they pay the tariff on your behalf and you owe them for it. That's assuming the $€11€r isn't already covering the tariff cost.

Also, if someone is right most of the time like you, that’s unusual and it’s awesome you’re willing to share with us. Please keep the recommendations coming!
  16. xenxra @ xenxra: also, to that effect, i'm a bit behind on the whole C/R situation, that being said - this is the first time in 16 months that the market pulled back and C did not DM me on telegram about it.
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: i want to apologize to the people on here for my calls about the market moving up three days before the crash. the crash we had was essentially a black swan (i.e. an accident) and as is the very nature of "accidents", they usually cannot be accounted for beforehand. a LOT of people got wiped out on that move but I do think we still push for new highs across the board sooner than later as long as Bitcoin stays above $105k.
