additional question, if there's an at home test kit for Promethazine? or if it'd be possible?

 
 Their is a reagent test for benzo's, many of the drug store brands offer mail away verification for a extra fee.   No clue about promethazine.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but all these appear to be "pee in cup" ones, I wanted to test my substance before digesting it to verify the legitimacy of a Xanax Bar Tablet.

Dissolve the tablet in water, and use a test strip to test it.

 Would that work ?     Usually the reagent tests, test for metabolites not the actual substance,   Then again some of them are very close.

Their are these test kits for non-xanix benzo's ---   https://testsure.com/product/benzo-test-kit/        But apparently xanax has no discernible reaction to   Marquis, Mecke or Mandelin.
