Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed that some of you are still using Yahoo or other email providers. Guys, the end-to-end encryption that Proton provides is a very effective safety measure that we really need to use.

I understand that creating a new account may seem time-consuming, but it only takes about three minutes, and all of us will be much safer as a result. Remember, there are risks involved in buying and selling, it's important to minimize any potential vulnerabilities.

Second that.

Still haven’t figured out the whole pgp key thing and am always reluctant to communicate with libraries using non proton accounts because of all the phishing paranoia around destructible message links that are a necessity without default encryption.

Pretty sure some libraries have refused to return contact because an email with nothing but a link may look weird. Additionally, between proton users emails can be set to expire without having to send the recipient a password, which is an awesome feature.

Pgp installed to an encrypted partition is still best. Also still a major pain in the ass. I only have one tutorial and it was enigmail. Bestcrypt and thunderbird extension in f.f. probably extremely outdated these days.

Tutanota is good but apples to apples. I used both depending on what the respondent used

I see that a lot to. Hotmail, AOL, Outlook, Gmail; basically every provider that's actively scanning emails that you shouldn't use. Hushmail and Tutanota are decent options as well.

Perhaps, but the fact that Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. haven't been taken down is not an indication that they are secure in any way. Regardless the only way you can be sure your communication is secure is by sending message's encrypted with your own PGP key.
