Muscle is roughly 70% water. Even the majority of volume is water. Why do we carb load? Because glucose fills out muscles? Uhh well to form glycogen its 1g CHO:2.7h H2O for glycogen formation. That means water is 300% of the volume of glucose. We carb load to load WATER. Electrolyte balance obv also plays a part. If you pull too much water you go FLAT. Muscle doesnt press against skin, skins loose, u think ur holding water, take more diuretics.... disaster
