Hi, I’ve joined this site following a scam from Anonymous Pharmacy and (of course) buypainmedsnow.com. Yes I am a slow learner…
I’ve been in pain for 12 months following a surgery where most of my breast was taken (cancer) and then later reconstructed with a small implant.
Following the implant surgery I’ve been taking endone at night (Oxycodone 5mg) and Mobic (daytime). I returned to work a week after the surgery. I have a business and if I don’t work we don’t get money. I was advised to take longer than this.
It’s been 12 months and I am still in pain, mostly afternoons and evenings. I see a pain specialist (only every 3 months) as well as my GP. The surgeon has wiped his hands of me. Nothing unusual in the ct scan or ultrasound…
I have 3 kids and a business which demands fairly physical labour minimum of 40hrs a week. I’ve tried Lyrica, Gabapentin, a numbing cream, mirtazapam and another SSRI which the name fails me at present.
So far the only relief I get is with the Endone which is highly addictive. Since I’ve only taken one (max 2) per night for a year I don’t think I am addicted – but very dependent for the relief it gives me.
My husband calls me a heroin addict because I’m still taking these pain pills. I am not, I have a script for endone and Mobic from a good GP near me locally. The problem is I work from 8am to 6.30pm and in a small town not many docs are open! I am scared that the only relief I get is from a narcotic. Mobic is crap, it only lasts four hours and doesn’t take all the pain away.
Are there any others out there like me who need a narcotic for relief and are scared of one day being refused? There’s not many docs around here who will prescribe because they don’t want hassles.
