Pretty sure this dude ripped me off too. Originally asked for something, they said they didn’t have the mag. I said “dang no worries, the mag is rare these days” then all of a sudden I get another email saying they do have it. Interesting.
Paid two weeks ago, waited about a week before emailing for an update (first time buying mags from this stand, other stands have shipping info by 72 hours max), emailed me back and said everything was dropped off and he’d “check in with his mailing assistant and get back to me” within like 20 mins. Okay cool, no worries. Except he didn’t. I waited almost another full week to follow up, again got the “check in with assistant” response. No follow up, second time. Dude responds in like 30 mins max no matter the time, guess the hustle don’t stop.
Third time, I was just asking for a straight up refund or reship because it’s been over two weeks since I paid for the subscription. He hits me with “what’s your mailing address” like I’m brand new to him and don’t have a 20-long thread with dude asking about the same mag for going on 3 weeks when it’s advertised as super fast shipping.
I already know I’m ripped off at this point, but gave him the address knowing I’d never hear back. And I didn’t. That was days ago, 3-4 days maybe? No update, no response on tracking, no refund, no bueno. Sucks because it was a tester to see if I’d buy him straight out of mags and I get done like this. If the book was good, the book was getting bought out the stores. Luckily it was a relatively small loss financial, huge L in the trust category. I think these people saying they got their mags in 3 days are “exaggerating” I suppose is the correct word, and the people that had similar experiences are the truth-tellers. My money is gone but so is a mag-stand off my list of testers.
TLDR: Ripped off. Ghosted when asking for refund/reship after 2 weeks after payment, 3 weeks of email. Chalk this one up as a lesson learned. Plenty of other fish in the sea.
