I have a referral here in GA and am waiting on a cancellation.  I have never dealt with this.  The pain I am having with chronic pancreatits is evil.  What can I expect from my first appointment?  I already have some pain meds.  Do y'all think this new doc might give me something to come closer to breaking through the pain?  Thanks for your thoughts

With you there going to want to be super careful as your pancreas is sick...and they wont want to make it sicker..

so they will want to give you relief without making things worse..

Personally wouldnt take much more then whatever your on as you can make things much worse..making it harder to heal up..

my best friends hubby has hat you have for a few yrs now because he keeps doing extra from what the doc gave him and now only a tiny bit of his pancreas works because of that and ends up in the hospital several times a yr...

one time he slipped into a coma for 4 months  :(...

please keep well my friend...x

Oh boy, that's scary.  I have been in the hospital 6 times in the last 8 weeks.  Thanks for the info though.  My original doctor acted like she seemed to think I needed more medication, but I'm guessing with her just being a primary doctor she does not have the ability to do so which is why she is sending me to pain management.????

BTW she put me on oxycodone 5mg 4X a day.  Thoughts?

  12. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: Don’t message people about things like veterinary care without taking care to mind the rules you two crazy nuts. More at stake than getting bad info or scammed, there’s predators out there looking for bigger fish and will step on a guppy to get to them. Fishing expeditions aren’t just for private citizens enjoying a calm weekend exploring the lake for a fish hookup. Offish of offishial fishing investigations may be looking for the best fishing hole and scare off the big
  13. xenxra xenxra: what do you mean "what happened to it"? it's sitting at the store on the bubblegum rack like it always has
  14. LatsDoodis @ LatsDoodis: What happened to Big League Chew? That was some mighty fine chewing gum. I personally never had any, but I think of it often.
