I see a pain doc & am on oxcee 40mg & was taking Percs for breakthrough. I have now been put on the roxi 15 for breakthrough as I have found the time release 40s are not working. I am reluctant to say anything more cause I'm afraid they will put me on something that doesn't work at all. So for I'm just taking the 15mg & so far have been ok. I guess the time release doesn't work as well with lap band.

Reduced Medication Effectiveness

The shorter intestinal length after gastric bypass or duodenal switch surgery can make extended-release drug preparations less effective. Some extended-release drugs include antidepressants (Wellbutrin XL), anxiolytics and sleep medications (Xanax XR), and anti-hypertensives (Toprol XL, Verapamil XL). Because these formulations are intended to be absorbed over 2-12 hours, the pills may pass through the gastrointestinal tract before absorption is complete.

This same principle also applies to delayed-release and enteric- or film-coated pills, which are coated with a material that prevents the medication from being released until the pill moves through the stomach to the small intestine. (Sometimes the abbreviation “EC” is added to the name of a drug to indicate that it is enteric-coated.) Immediate-release dosage forms should be substituted, although they may need to be taken more often.

so, essentially your doctor just decided to put you on something shorter acting because he would not have to give you twice as many of the 40s.

Google. Lol

And End helps along even better, but never helps that much as he's very hard to find... And yes, they will put you on a steady of off brand medd like gabapen or hilarious antidepressants/anticonvulsants. My exp. hoping you r well. Hoping even more that someone responds to me.
Hi MsMaymax, welcome to the group and that's an elegant little avatar you've got there. Nothing on topic (sorry), just wanted to say hello.

take those time release oxyies and slice em up thin with a razor mix the slices with some orange juice wait for the mixture to thicken and drink it down. I found that if i would prep op oxycontins in this manner it would shorten onset and duration significantly. It never overcame the time release part completely but made the goodness happen faster and stronger. imo

I'll have to try that. I hesitate to say anything to my pain doc cause he might try me on something worse.

we are all a totally mixed bag. Someone loves to chat about our pets. Others want to talk about cosmetic surgery. Others wanna talk about health in beauty. And of course we all want to contribute a little bit about pharmaceuticals. Get your post count up, however you need to make sure to make it relevent. Talk about your pets, play the 5 letter game, which can be ridiculously funny. And pretty sure you will be up to a 50 post count in no time and able to access the email only vendors. Period. My favorite. I believe as it is you should be able to get into the international List.. there is one section which requires donation. It is always nice to donate to the site, although you will notice I was only able to donate a minimum. Regardless, whether you donate 5 dollars or 100 dollars and get a big gawdy emblem on their name, you are allowed entrance. It is mostly member with pain issues..if u pick up what Im putting dowm. under the International thread you will immediately be able to visit the site and be able to read the feedback regarding delivery times and product quality etc. It was the first place I was directed by a good soul and a moderator, after I had finished doing all the reading with regards to rules and so on and so forth. If you are ever going to spell out the name of a medication, do you sell as such, K/♡nopin...@dderall...oxeec0tonn..

it keeps everyone safe.xoxoxoxoxoxox. im new2 from april

Hi there - just chiming in to respond back to you.  I am a newbie too, so I know the feeling of wanting people to respond.  Read and read and you will find that posting is easier when you find subjects that are interesting and you have knowledge about them.  I was going to write that my experiences with time release pk's is full of drama... sometimes the same pill I took 8 hours ago did not work the very same.  I finally got off the extended release stuff, thanks to the facet rhizotomy that I had done to my cervical spine.  Finally a procedure that targeted the origin of the pain.  Good luck everyone.

I had the full gastric bypass in 2000. The only pain med that works is Dia,lauded. Something about how it's metabolized

  14. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 lol I am actually surprised it is a real ID. I needed those documents because my license had been expired for over a year and I had to start all over. Nothing was in the system. It was a huge mess. I had no clue I was signing up for Real ID. They asked me for the exact same documents that I needed for a State ID Card.
  15. S @ soupson: bless your heart buddy. no sense of grammar or proper insults/jokes. you need this place in ways i can’t comprehend
  16. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: Sweet Ol' Me asked about Real ID, Stoup. Are you responsive to emails ? LMAO

  18. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda You win. I am lost. Thought you were surprised your license was a Real ID, now you say you provided those items.
  19. drjimmy1964 @ drjimmy1964: @bigblueallda I was under the impression that you'd need all of the points to get a real ID . I'd check it's validity if you're gonna fly domestic any time soon, just to make sure. Not to tell you what to do, sorry -
  20. B @ bigblueallda: @drjimmy1964 In my state to get a Real ID, I need SS card, Birth Certificate and two proofs of residency. Which I am positive I had to provide to get a new ID when it had been expired.
