First let me say that as a long time customer and close friend to many other long time customers it has always been my opinion that the reports of fakes coming from Mexican vendors has been highly inflated. If they shipped lots of fakes then my friends and I certainly would have received some over the years.
BUT I have it from a reliable source that there could be a problem in this regard going on right now. The last thing I want to do is start a big panic so let's keep our heads together and don't let the very suggestion there may be fakes convince us that's what we have.
I just think it would be a good idea to be a bit more mindful and responsible. If something looks off that is obviously a red flag and if you take something without the desired effect don't keep taking them in hopes that 6 of them might do the trick. Sounds obvious and even crazy, but I have seen that happen many times.
The smartest thing to do is invest in a test kit.
This is not a free for all to start claiming fakes just for the sake of getting free pills. The people who do this are a real thorn in my side and the vendors too of course. They muddy the waters for the rest of us that just want factual information.
Fakes in the supply chain are identified by the customers who purchased them complaining to the vendor. Pictures are great to post here for us to see what the fakes look like, especially if they can be compared to the real thing. They are not evidence to a vendor because they don't know where the pictures came from. Same thing with test results.
This problem is a result of the pandemic and problems with getting supplies. I don't think any vendor here intentionally sells fakes, but I think in these times they are going to have to take further steps to make sure that if they get ripped off by a supplier it doesn't get passed on to us and I plan on having this discussion with all of them.
The last thing I am going to ask is that if you don't have a problem with sharing this information then include what you ordered in your review. If there are fakes going around its good to know what people are receiving that is normal too.
