Looking for a doctor in the portland area.  Been on pain meds for over two years.  Have had unexplained chronic pain for a few years now,  Only thing doctors have come up with is FM.   Which I dont think is true.  Want to live my life with my kids pain free.  on limited income so the right doctor is a must.

This isn't a terribly original or creative suggestion, but have you looked into eClinic MD's network? They have a thread in the F2F section, and might have an "understanding" physician in your area.

thanks Jewy

going to look into it.  Having a bad spell the last week, everytime i have a spell like this I start looking for a good doctor, then it gets better for a while and I think I can manage.  Ever since star went down, been trying to manage on what I get a month which is about two days worth of pk, if I was to use them around that clock.   Enough to get me by when I have to be active.   The Mexican section is to expensive for me.  This might be the ticket.

Has anybody got info on the urgent care clinics and there view on benzos? I have a diagnosis for panic disorder among other things but the clinic I'm being seen at has a no narcotics policy so I can't get any xanax which has been the only effective medication so far.

I've recently been prescribed 2 scripts from an urgent care clinic. Both for Cl0naz3pam. The first prescriber was LPN, who wrote for 30, 2 mg 2x daily. Not much. Suggested I find mental health clinic, which I'm on. When that one ran out (way after it should have at the 2.x2 dose, the second doc was M.D, who felt a lecture on benzos and the efficacy of SSRIs was in order. I wanted to shout, but kept my cool as he wrote for another 30, at 1/2 to 1 mg up to 3x daily.

My take is this: they'll help in the short run, but in the end they're not gonna sustain your need for ongoing med management, Finallly I went to my PCP who once said I "would never give you kpin" but after a brief, honest discussion she said she'd prescribe until I got into the mental health system, which is literally 2 months out. Good enough because I'm not doing well lately. Been off benzos for a couple of years, but with this diagnosis, as you prob know, life can feel like a roller coaster at times.

X@n@X is also the most effective med in my case, but it's disliked by nearly every prescriber except psychiatrists, afaik. They always want to go with the Kpins. Maybe a more assertive role is needed in my case. IDK. I can't PM, but feel free to hit me back if I missed any pertinent questions.

  8. nameofuser11 @ nameofuser11: Set a reasonable limit. Hell fucking make it like buying cold medicine where they swipe your id and you can't get a bunch. But we know this isn't about logic or public safety. It's about money and control.
  9. nameofuser11 @ nameofuser11: AKA are such a bunch of fucking capitalist traitors. The liquor lobby has a lot of money in this as well.
  10. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: The major plain leaf companies and the AKA are the ones lobbying against 7 and the other semi-sythetic derivatives, mgm this that and the other. We all know the chemist are just gonna mess with the scaffolding of the compounds and come out with new and even better semi-sythetic alkoloids of kratom. They are already playing with cats-claw
  11. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: @moai just asked chatgpeetea and it looks like plain leaf kratom is safe, they arent banning it. Just 7-Hydroxymitragynine, MGM15 ,16 , and pseudoindoxyl
  12. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: Wait... @moai they are federally banning plain leaf kratom too???
  13. moai @ moai: @MorphineOrfan how fucking stupid is this shit. We better see some new shit come out, I’m most upset about banning regular kratom because really? Millions of people have got off hard opioids with it. They must want everyone on methadone instead.

  16. Gulp2788 @ Gulp2788: If bans were done to logic so much of what is illegal now would end up prescription only and I think the powers that be react faster than they think... if they think at all
  17. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: They aren't specifically targeting SR and 7oh
  18. MorfineOrfan @ MorfineOrfan: @RiftChems well sr-17018 is an orphine analogue after all, and they are banning all orphines so that makes sense. Orphines are spiking the OD death rates majorly these past few months.
  19. AlHoffman69 @ AlHoffman69: CANDYMAN ramnemnber thta is will be conme relevenaent soon :alien:    🤑
  20. RiftChems @ RiftChems: crazy they are banning SR17018 at the same time. they know what theyre doing.
