Pregablin (Lyrica)

My conditions being Rheumatoid Arthritis and GADS. Being purchasing items for over 15 years. Mainstay being Tram. Dosage always maintained on the low side. I also take Op's in the evening unless I need a Zan or something a little longer lasting (valeries).

Does anyone have any experience to share on Pregablin. Most of the items in the forums relate to support for WD from alcohol or street chemz.

I was wondering whether they would provide both pain and anxiety relief in one item?

I know there are hundreds of years of experience in here so reaching out for your expertise, knowledge and wisdom. I am very used to managing tolerance levels just for info.

They help me with both pain and anxiety and sleep. I know that is three but i didn't think of sleep til the end.  But they are helpful.

I took it for my leg for a while, which got better.  But it helps me sleep and the doctor said I can continue to take it just for that.

Please stay safe taking that amount of Pregab.

Doctors in my country hand them out like smarties, and i've lost 2 friends to overdose on them.

They get such a hold of you that it becomes nearly impossible to stop taking them once you build a tolerance..

And of course then you need to take more to get the same affect from them.

Problem is they slow your heart rate down massively, so much so that you can stop breathing..

75mg is the lowest dose available in my pharmacy.  They also come in 150mg per capsule.   So I think I'm ok.

All i can say to that is WOW...   

I honestly didn't think that there was a doctor out there that would prescribe someone such massively high and dangerous

a dose of Pregabalin. I'm sure you know what your doing, but i am honestly Gobsmacked to hear of someone on that dose.

Where I live, in the UK it’s very common for people to be prescribed 300mg.

Hi  @Toker I am no expert in this particular substance but my research has given me 450mg similar to 30mg of Diaz. The pharmacology is quite different to Op8's * Benz, which has given me an interest. 90% oral bioavailbility also.

Think I may go halves to start with and take it from there.

I've taken 1200mg in one go before. Probably not a therapeutic level a docc will prescribe , but it can be takeen up to those levels

Already in the bin. Never again.. @Tokeryour advice was perhaps correct. Worst 24 hours I have had for a long time. Could not even talk properly. Vision all over the place and could not walk in anything like a straight line. Not for me....

Hi there @kinsona! I want to congratulate you for dumping the preg. I only got past the 2nd dose on 75mgs. and couldn’t walk I was so dizzy. Garbage imho. You probably saved yourself some bad times.

They seem to be quite a problem where I stay in the uk people are taking a couple of the 350mg ones on top of bnz and perhaps some street H.

Polly-drug use has taken loads of lives where i am situated.Seems to be a few cases of only pre-gabs use and people still go over they fall asleep and just never awake again. @Crackajack your right the docs up my way also seem to be happy to script this med.Theres ALLWAYS seems to be one or another medication that doctors hand out all the time and which usually comes back to bite them.Look at zimovane for instance that's one that all the doctors handed out like smarties before realising they were habit forming after telling anyone using mogadon or temazapam that these would replace the bnz hypnotics as zimos are non habit forming!!!

@blissopifree 2 Yeah there’s a massive problem with them here. Appears to be the new downer being widely abused on the street. Yeah, mostly poly drug use too which dramatically increases risk of O.D. What is more frightening, however, is the rate they are being prescribed for what seems to be a huge spectrum of ailments. Pretty much anything really. 

Ive never used this drug myself so can’t comment on it, personally but see the affect it’s having.

I've taken it once and that's enough for me!.

My ex is given 3x 150mg pre-gabs daily along with diazapam,co-codamol, zimovane and several depression meds and beta blockers.Im not with her now as you can well imagine she was HARD work and in the end I was more depressed than her (even though no-one is) according to her.Thats one chapter in my life I seffo want to leave behind me as the more I tried to help her get better the less she did and in the end barely left the house.So for me it was a 11-12hr day home walk the dog make my supper a bath and bes REPEAT!!.
