99% of people including myself use way too much weight when dumbbell pressing. We press up and in recruiting heavily our triceps. Try cutting the weight by 1/3 and pressing up and out to the sides, also tilting the Dumbbells slightly outside as well. This places the full amount of stress on the targeted deltoids. Remove the ego, reduce the weight, I guarantee after one set you will go holy shit. Took two mp competitors in my gym
This morning and made them rack their 90 pound dumbells and handed them 30's, made them perform 15 perfect reps, for 4 sets, they didn't even hit 12 reps on the third set. I promise you will see massive results when doing presses properly. An advanced technique? I've added the resistance band to my press utilizing progressive tension overload, soaring my old surgery reconstructed shoulders but absolutely creating a massive pump in my shoulders. Stop wasting your time under training and improperly training.
