I want to change my user name. Is there any way I can do that? I know that is totally random and so not important especially in light of some of the important issues that are foing on. But, is it possible? I see that it shows a name change history in my profile but nowhere to change it.

Any ideas?

Sure, no problem. See my reply in Antonio's thread. Just PM Admin and make your request, and mention that you had spoken to me. I'm sure he'll be glad to accommodate. There is in fact a name change history on all profiles, but due to frequent name changes by many members a while back, Admin disabled the feature. It just became too difficult to keep track of who was who. Anyway, shouldn't be a problem at all.
