One thing worth bearing in mind Virtual machines are your friend, esp linux distro's

With regard to deleting Google digital footprint, this can be done in 5 minutes. Same for Amazon, Ebay Ebuyer and the like. Just need to make a few account changes and get shot of your footprint for good.

I need to use VMs more for this but out of laziness I just haven't yet. I used to always use VMs for music downloading years ago.
