I dont know if this is the correct place to post this or not, I apologize to the mods in advance if its in the wrong section.

I see a Pain Dr every month for my rocks. I have been going for several years and have had no issues at all having my monthly script filled at the same CVS I have been using for almost 15 years. My insurance makes me use CVS or I pay a lot more, but thats another thorn in my side. I went yesterday to have my monthly allotment of 90 pills filled as I do every month on the first week of the month. They only had 60 and I was told that they could not do a partial fill because they did not know when they would get more in and that if they could not complete the order in 72 hrs the script would be void for the remainder. So I thought no big deal I will go up the street to the next CVS, no luck there either. I sat in my car and called 9 other CVS, a couple of Walgreen's and a couple mom and pop pharmacy's. I finally found one that was 35 miles away that said they had enough to fill. While I was waiting I was talking to the pharmacist about the problem in trying to find one that had enough to fill my script. She told me she was surprised that she had enough. She told me that they are only allowed to order so many each month now and when they were gone there were no more for the month. I said it was only the 5th of the month and she said yea that they were usually gone by now!!!

I had to pick up another script from my regular CVS and asked my normal pharmacist about it as well and he said the same thing. Is anyone else who gets a script for rocks or pks seeing the same? This is got me so worried about whats going to happen next month... Gotta love of wonderful government!!

Most pharmacies dont even do them anymore and its far and wide to even get them...most docs switch your script out to something else because they are just not available..

you have not heard of them stopping rocks all over?  There is a huge drug hold down because of this....That is why tons of people do come here now for rocking chairs....I think the UK doesnt even have them at all anymore....Most states here dont either...

they will switch you to the IR one or something else, even if it doesnt work because there really is no more of them...You can shop mom and pops pharms but even they are far and wide to come by them....and if they can get them there backed up because there the only ones getting them....but if you do find a place, know it wont be long before they stop too..

sory, wish i could give better answer.....

I wrote a good long post and gameplan for you critteral.

It detailed how the new system works under the new guidelines and the DEA "reorganization" of the chronic pain patients. I wish it didn't get wiped out by the forum reset after the crash, we lost all posts from the last 24 hours.

I am sorry this happened. I will try to retype something brief at least to try to tell you how things are done now, and how to go about navigating medical care. It makes me upset to think about all the outline I typed that is now deleted about what your doctor can, and cannot do for you, and how to discuss treatment with him and when it is appropriate to ask about being referred to a pain management specialist/clinic. Sigh... /default_sad.png

Sorry that was lost @jackwade, I would be interested to read it if you have the chance to post again.

I would have love to have read it Jackwade. And to Sadminion, these are the IR that I am having problems with.

I think maybe sadminion got confused and thought you were talking about the 'contins? Or I dunno. But, yeah, rox is IR. And that really sucks, critteral, I'm sorry you gotta go through that.

Thanks 2. went to the CVS today today and get it filled (i called and they said they had them this month, that they just came in last night) He said no prob, get me 10 min and I will fix you up. Then he comes back and says they cant fill till the first. LOL... I begged and pleaded that he hold my lowly 90 back till then. He kept my script and told me not to worry that he had 600 in stock, but that they would be gone first of the week and no more for the month. I told him I would be there at 10am when he opens up on Sunday. We spoke for a while and he said that last couple of months the DEA has cut back on how many they can get a month and its causing all sorts of problems and all he can do is tell his customers "sorry, you have to try somewhere else". It really sucks that our government is so fucked up.... I have chronic pancreases which has developed into uncontrollable diabetes which has made severe neuropathy and now went to a Neurologist this week for bad shoulder pain and a shaking hand  and then im told I also have Parkinson"s! all of this in the last 13 months and all I can get is 60 mg a day of oxy and now have to chase it down!!

Oh Well, tomorrow is another day.

  1. ontovzik @ ontovzik: When I had long term shingles, lasting two months. All he could give me was a 10 day supply of dilaudid. He looked at the ground while we were talking about it. I could tell he was ashamed but it was the legislature and the governor that tied his hands. He was very upset that non-medical political people, the media, and the scared public were controlling how he treated his patients. Someday those people will need meds and a hospital bed and they will be gone.
  2. ontovzik @ ontovzik: I had a great doctor, he had the true gift of a healer and he stayed on top of all the science. He straight up told me that for many people opiods work for managing short and long term pain.
  3. ontovzik @ ontovzik: He peed it in the snow in my backyard.
  4. WTF7218 @ WTF7218: @xenxra 😆😂. Yes, but only a few brave souls will ever find the number. You must first order a Dirty Shirley from the bartender. Then you must discreetly take the cocktail napkin from under your drink and unfold it. There you will find the map to the location of the phone number, and clues to decipher the code that it is written in.
  5. xenxra @ xenxra: he left his phone number scribbled in a stall at the pub three blocks down
  6. aBBazaBBa123 @ aBBazaBBa123: @rockychoc How do I contact you?
  7. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar I would try one of those easy online ones .. reddit gives useful info about that
  8. Alkazar @ Alkazar: @NYStateofMind I dont really have a history of abusing things, my docotr is just really stingy. I am thinking of switching.
  9. C @ Cheesus: Thanks xenxra
  10. xenxra @ xenxra: @Cheesus yeah, use snote
  11. P @ psychedpsych: Trump is cracking down….
  12. P @ psychedpsych: Hackers are the scum of the earth
  13. N @ NYStateofMind: so it was easy bc of my history
  14. N @ NYStateofMind: I didnt really tell him but he knew I needed a new script since my dr went to jail
  15. N @ NYStateofMind: @xenxra I was on Adderall since 15 years ago so my dr prescribed that w no problems and then when I lost my best friend my doctor rxed the valiums but
  16. C @ Cheesus: Temp.pm down for anyone else?
  17. xenxra @ xenxra: @NYStateofMind my doctor's have always been pretty open minded if i can actually come in and explain the pharmacological action of the drugs im seeking instead of just telling them why i think i should be prescribed. the only time it didn't work out for me is when i was trying pharmaceuticals for depression ten years ago and suggested they let me try testosterone instead (turns out i was hypogonadal so they made a mistake denying my request at face value)
  18. T @ Testisthebest: Even down here in Florida when the pill mill docs all switched over to Suboxone and/or retired you can still find some pretty liberal docs but you gotta know what to look for. Mine does "pain management, detox, anxiety, etc. And no insurance. My doc writes me 60 5mg Valium, 14 2mg Xanax and asked if I had ever tried adderal to get more focus at work as I told him I run my own business.
  19. N @ NYStateofMind: @Alkazar do they know your history? Like I dont tell my doctor anything about myself except what they need to know,...I was able to get my dr to rx the highest dose of adderall along with valiums ..... if they dont know your history or there is no history I would just come out and ask what is the reason for their mistreatment.... they have no problem billing your insurance or taking a payment for the visit
  20. T @ Turbo259: @Layne_Cobain Thank you fam
