I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried Rozerem. I searched it here and nothing came up, but I just wanted to rant about it. I was sucked in by the ads at the time, I guess it may have been sometime between 2005-2012? Heck, the reason I’m on here is because I’m a whole lot more functional and feel saner on benzos than off them…but I only got on them because I got sucked into the ads for Lunesta back in 2006, my first sleep prescription. The price kept going up and up and I couldn’t afford it anymore, and the patent didn’t expire until probably 2013 or so, and I needed something I could afford, so benzos have worked for me. I really wish America never advertised pharmaceuticals in the first place, so I wouldn’t need to be here…another rant. I had a longtime chronic insomnia problem to begin with for most of my life before the 10 night Lunesta challenge was advertised, and when I kept seeing those ads, I figured I’d sell my soul just to be able to sleep.
So, some time in there, I asked my doctor for Rozerem. I hated it so much! I was lying there, conscious, but my body seemed asleep, unless I needed to get up to use the toilet. Not only was it ridiculously expensive, but I found out later on that it’s actually Schedule 4, ostensibly because of “potential for abuse “. What a load of shite. I might just come up with a “10 night Rozerem challenge “ poll to find out if anyone feels the urge to abuse that crap. I took it once, and then a month later, I gave it another chance, in case it was a fluke, but the same terrible experience. Basically, I put my money in a paper shredder, so to speak.
If anyone else has ever tried this stuff, I’d be interested in your experience with it.
