Hello Everyone,

Is anyone familiary with the term RSD, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy? My friend has it since 1994 when he fell off a escalator and pushed his hands out to try to break his fall. Basically he is 24/7 chronic pain and has a broken arm for life. He's been through countless surgery's and back surgery's. It when the nervous system is damage and there is absolutely no cure for it. So basically he's in pain for the rest of his life .

Doctors have been perscribing him fentanly patches, 180MG oxycodone (or something close) 4times a day or as needed, morphine, ,25MG xanax, Ambien, and a bunch of other stuff.

In 2003 he decided to stop taking EVERYTHING cold turkey , no subs, or anything. He went through straight HELL I have no idea how he did it. Now adays he just take an Aleve, a Tylenol, or an Aspirin a few times a day (2 or 3 times a day, not each) and he claims to be fine though I can tell he's still in pain a lot once in a while, maybe 2-3 times a month.

Remember, im writing this in lamest terms to keep it short and understandable. Im not an expert on it im just sharing his experience and trying to be as accurate as I can.

Anyone else have experience with this? I think its a horrible dissability and we need a cure ASAP. If you know of any causes or charity groups let me know I would love to help people battling this horrific disability.

YOU JUST TOLD MY STORY WITH A SPINAL AND SHOULDER INJURY THROWN IN. I HAVE RSD/CRPS. I have information on it. I have to try to sleep right now but tomorrow I will post what I've learned about RSD

So sorry to hear about anybody having this condition. His story is similar to mine in many details. It's a terrible disorder to have. Will post about RSD tomorrow.

GOOD NIGHT ALL! I THINK I MIGHT BE ABLE TO SLEEP TONIGHT (SINCE I DIDN'T LAST NIGHT).
